Upon reflection...

Note to readers: For the avoidance of any doubt, every character in this blog is Baggy! No Baggy was harmed in its writing, although some of them get pretty confused!

Hey Baggees, it's been a while, but Creative Clara has decided to give her blog another go. The thing is that she misses it! That, and truthfully, Hormonal Hannah has been worrying, ever since she made Clara write that last blog. (If you know not to what Clara refers, have a little read).

So firstly, if anxiety-ridden Hannah offended any one of you gorgeous Baggees with that last blog, she would like to apologise profusely! Baggy appreciates each and every one of you, and the support that many of you provide her; especially when Hannah is being a silly over-sensitive idiot! Enough said.

As it's been a few weeks, here's a little update of some of the things that have been happening with the gang. Most importantly, Baggy's cataract surgery, (that she had on August 1st), is marvellous! She had her eyes re-tested a couple of weeks ago, and her left, newly-bionic eye, has gone from not being able to see the largest letters on the test board, to being able to read the smallest! It is slightly short-sighted though apparently, so Baggy now has some new reading glasses.

She also has new long-distance glasses, as although they will not 'improve' her vision as such, the tests revealed part of the reason that Baggy struggled initially with her new eye. Her left eye is not just slightly short-sighted (and her right one, slightly long-sighted), but her left one, also sees slightly below her right one - hence her brain struggling for a while, causing vertigo and dancing-letters. So both pairs of new glasses, now have a prism in the right lens to correct this! Clever stuff.

One of the reasons that Hannah has been a tad stressed this year, is because back in February, Calum and Baggy made the decision to sell the holiday cottage! Number one furry and Baggy will miss Blossom Cottage, as it was their first home, and they thought it would be their forever home. When Baggy inherited her father and step-mother's house, they kept Blossom, just in case they didn't want to live in the new house. But they love living in the area where both of them lived as kids, and the time has come! But, as always, selling a house is stressful and this sale has had a its own annoyances! It's taken six months to get to the exchange date, from accepting the offer! And because Baggy didn't want to let anyone down who had booked Blossom for their holiday, Baggy insisted that the buyer wait a few weeks for completion, so they will be completing at the end of September after the last holidaymakers check out.

In preparation for the move, Creative Clara and The Domestic Goddess have been working their not-so-little socks off!! Baggy has had them 'nesting'! She wants Calum, Pepper Pooch, Bracket kat, and herself to love their new home, as much as they loved Blossom. When Clara painted Blossom, and replaced the black-and-white, with colour, they fell in love with the house even more....

.... their new home was painted throughout with a magnolia colour, because it was rented out when Baggy's stepmother had to go into a care home. The paint was worn and mucky, having been done over six years ago. Baggy hadn't realised just how grubby! The Domestic Goddess didn't really worry about it too much, and Baggy has only really appreciated just how dirty it was, now that she can see it properly! Clara also finally realised, just how uncomfortable it made Hannah feel. So over the last few weeks, Clara has been transforming their house. The magnolia is going.....

.... as is the black mould, that Calum and Baggy have lived with for the last three years! So far, she has managed to finish the sitting room/dining room, and the master bedroom.

Clara has big plans for the rest of the house, and Baggy is excited that soon Baggy and Calum will not feel as though they still only have one foot in this house.

Meanwhile, Furry Mama has spent hours entertaining the pooch, trying to keep him tired enough that Clara could paint without too much interruption.

He's such a sweet pooch though! This is what he did when Baggy was trying on boots in the local shoe shop...

Now that Hormonal Hannah is rather less anxious than she was, even Grotty Groom has managed to spend some time with her Boys.

As a bit of accidental entertainment, a few weekends ago, Calum wished to visit a Hot Rod and Custom Car Show. Baggy reluctantly agreed to go, and offered to drive, as it was a ridiculously hot day, and Billy Bob Jalopy campervan stays pretty cool. When they arrived and tried to work out where the car park was, Baggy was told to, 'Follow the directions of the chaps in yellow coats.'

She did as instructed, and ended up as part of the exhibit!

At the place where the show was held, was a great pet shop. It was so hot, and Pepper has such sensitive feet, that Furry Mama bought him little boots. Clever Bird is not sure how impressed he was, but he got used to them really quickly and they are definitely a good idea for him.

And that's a little of what's been going on for the last few weeks Baggees. Baggy hopes that you're all well too, and loving life. Speak again soon....
