Furry Mama did however explore a partially new walk on Thursday. She doesn't wish to go too far, as it's quite hot and humid, and the poor Pooch still has his cone on.
As Creative Clara has mentioned previously, Baggy and Calum are incredibly fortunate to live in their little house and village, especially as it's on an ancient track that once ran all the way from the Midlands to Southwold. Furry Mama quite often follows it from the house to the single-track lane that it reaches.
What she hadn't done previously, was to cross the lane and carry on. It's a lovely track, with no one on it.
It's up and down gentle slopes, and carries on for a mile, where it reaches (aka changes into) the main road to Southwold.
There, Furry Mama turns around and heads home. In her new way of thinking like a horse, Furry Mama enjoyed going back, as it does look totally different.
Two miles is the perfect distance. It's enough for Baggy in the heat, and Pepper is happy to sleep when he gets back home.
Whilst Furry Mama walked, number one furry got on with his new shed. Well, Clara says "shed", but frankly, it's being made well enough to move in to! It's currently being insulated; using the material that was entirely redundant in the attic.
It's going to be warm enough for him to move into if ever he upsets Baggy, or Baggy upsets him!
It's taking much longer to build than it should have done because of the lockdown. Steve (our carpenter) can't come round, and it's not currently possible to get the extra bits that are required; but still, Calum is doing a grand job of getting on with it, within these limits.
As Calum carried on, Gloria Gardener took to her garden. She's enjoying pottering. And the total lack of rain and high temperatures mean that she is needing to water it a lot! While she was doing that on Friday (the real Bank Holiday), Calum appeared with lunch! They ate it on their table on the new bit of land, accompanied by Bracket kat.
The garden is beginning to bloom, thanks to Gloria's loving care, and Baggy is quite proud of her efforts.
On the real Bank Holiday, Gloria was once again watering, when Baggy heard loud music playing across the village, all from the 1940s. When they went to investigate, there was a little social-distancing VE Day party going on.
So Baggy and Calum headed off and joined it for an hour, sitting on the pavement chatting with the neighbours.
It's definitely a lovely place to live.
As the lockdown continues, Hormonal Hannah is finally beginning to be able to accept it as "normal". It's no longer causing her to freak out, and she's quite relaxed about it carrying on for the foreseeable! It's wonderful having number one at home. It's the most time that they've ever spent together and Baggy is loving it. The Domestic Goddess is being quite amazing too; carrying on cooking fresh meals every day. They are extremely fortunate...
Baggy's current state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Blue.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 3.
Tears: Frequent, at sad stuff on the telly.
Overall days: Lovely.
Note to readers: For the avoidance of any doubt, every character in this blog is Baggy! No Baggy was harmed in its writing, although some of them get pretty confused!
