Clever Bird is reflecting on the fact that in Creative Clara's last blog she was enjoying the fact that there was no drama in Baggy's life for once. Her depression seems to be keeping away and her anxiety has been manageable. She's no longer anaemic so has more energy and less headaches. The hot flushes are a flaming (excuse the pun) nuisance, but they are just that, only a nuisance. Life could be described as a little mundane. But for that, Baggy is grateful, as once again, it has been demonstrated to be too short this week.
A lovely lady, who has been part of Baggy's life for over thirty years, lost her battle against cancer this week, due to post-operative complications. Baggy will miss her and her support and even though she hadn't seen her much in the last few years, connected with her often through playing games on Facebook! Yes, Freda Fretter thinks that sounds silly, but it was a sweet reminder every day, that they were friends.
As Furry Mama walked on the beach with the pooch today, Baggy chatted with her. This isn't as daft as it sounds as she was actually a psychic, and helped Psychic Ploppo 'protect' herself on more than one occasion. It was a dull overcast day, but at around the same time as her funeral was taking place, the sun came out, and stayed out until Baggy got back to Billy Bob Jalopy campervan. Baggy is sorry that she wasn't able to attend the funeral, but the thought of the three hour drive into London, put Hormonal Hannah into an anxiety-ridden panic, even though Calum had kindly offered to do the driving. Freda is still fretting that Baggy didn't go, which is ridiculous as Clever Bird knows full well that she would have totally understood. RIP lovely lady.
As Baggy is aware from her own experience, life can be very unpredictable and Clever Bird does not take it for granted. She no longer takes the sea for granted either after her experience the other day. It's power was very obvious as she sat in Billy Bob after today's walk! And the tides are scarily high these days. The sand dunes over the harbour at Walberswick have been so eroded in the last couple of weeks, that they've formed mini cliffs.
Clever Bird can't help wondering whether the old harbour is going to survive the buffeting it seems to be receiving on a regular basis!
And, the day before at Dunwich Heath, there was even more evidence of erosion. The old port town of Dunwich disappeared under the sea years ago, but the erosion continues apace. The latest cliff fall was evident.
It made Clever Bird realise just how stupid the many people are, who totally ignore the signs, and go and stand right on the edge of the cliff; or worse yet, let their children stand there while they take photos! Freda has regularly had to stop herself from shouting something at such idiots, as she's sat looking at the view from Billy Bob.
Tomorrow, Freda Fretter and Gloria Gardener will be helping number one furry negotiate their own little cliff, as Calum starts work on making a parking space on the 'new' bit of land. This is not going to be simple! But in the spirit of Baggy's desire to enjoy each moment of life, she's going to treat it as an adventure! Creative Clara just needs to stop Hormonal Hannah from making her forget to take progress photos.......
Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.
