Things are looking a little more positive in BAGGY'S GANG.

Note to readers: For the avoidance of any doubt, every character in this blog is Baggy! No Baggy was harmed in its writing, although some of them get pretty confused!
Depression: Okay :)
Anxiety: Fairly low.
Tears: Naturally.
Laughs: Lots.

Even though it is now heading towards autumn, in little old England, summer is just getting started. Of course, as soon as some proper heat arrived, various folk, including Baggy, managed to suffer from a touch of heat stroke! In Baggy's case, it's easily achieved, as her hair is so thick that she might as well be wearing a woolly hat. Of course, she made it worse by being a little vain; or perhaps more accurately, not wishing to look a total twit! As her sunglasses were beginning to create white 'panda eyes', she stopped wearing them - really not sensible at all, let alone when Baggy has her cataract. The eyeball, and headaches, that she's had in the last few days have been unpleasant to say the least! But that is not going to stop her from making the most of the pleasant weather.

Weirdly, Pepper Pooch copes with the heat a lot better than Furry Mama does; but then he loves to swim! Stupidly, Furry Mama is brilliant at monitoring the pooch's body temperature, but not Baggy's. It might be time to polish off the swimsuit - watch out Suffolkers!

Today's expedition to Southwold, was perfect - nice breeze, not too hot, virtually no one on the beach. And when Baggy had her cappuccino, half way through their walk, the pooch found a cool spot to park his bottom!

Now, all regular Baggees will be aware that some time back, Clever Bird had a plan to get Grotty Groom back in the saddle. This plan failed for lots of reasons. The main one being, that much as Grotty loves Joey horse, he is Calum's and Grotty wants to ride her own boy! He might be what would be called, 'an advanced ride,' aka 'taking your life into your hands,' but he is Grotty's little nutter, and she adores him.

Yes Baggees, everyone is agreed that she has an extremely peculiar way of demonstrating that love sometimes; not seeing him for weeks at a time, but there it is. It's occurred to Clever Bird, that part of Grotty's reluctance to see her beloved boy, is because of Hormonal Hannah's guilt that Grotty is not riding, or doing any other work with her horse. But she truly does want to - so Grotty has had Baggy on a mission to get down to a weight where she can ride him once again; and she's nearly there! She's lost two stone so far, and wants to drop another half, at which point she will risk getting back on him.  He's had nearly two-and-a-half years off, so it will be interesting, but as long as his kissing-spine is no worse, Grotty is fairly sure that he will be fine - hopefully. He certainly looks well, and Clever Bird suspects that the time off will actually have helped him, so watch this space Baggees!

Today, whilst Pepper slept in Billy Bob Jalopy campervan, Grotty groomed her lad in the paddock.

Considering that she'd abandoned him for a couple of weeks again, he seemed happy to see her. He wasn't quite so keen on having his plaits put in - always a challenge with a loose horse in a large paddock - but she managed some wonky ones.

The lad might be nearly eighteen, but he's looking good. Treats all round,

before Grotty left them to their munching, and retrieved Pepper.

A cup of tea and a catch up with Pauline in the tack room, before heading to town to post Creative Clara's latest Realuv order off,

and home to a healthy meal, a blog, and an excited plan to get Grotty back in the saddle........
