Sincere apologies baggees, for once again not appearing yesterday, but truthfully it was a meltdown day! It was so bad that Creative Clara is not going to talk about it. All she will say is that it wasn't just Hormonal Hannah being irrational. But at least it was number one furry's birthday, so there was some good!

Today though has been much more successful. The holiday cottage company have sent Clever Bird an e-mail and it's encouraged her and Calum to bite the bullet, and get on with the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage, so that it can be one! This morning they pootled off to the local timber merchant and bought a new floor! Once Furry Mama and Calum had walked Minty Mutt they headed off to the other end of Suffolk. While Calum started on the kitchen floor:

and here Clara needs an aside! The floor that has let slugs through, has a rotten hole in it! Calum to the rescue!

Gloria Gardener attacked the little front garden.

Tomorrow they will head over there again. There is so much to do! But they are determined to invest in the little cottage because it will be a great business once it's ready. Tomorrow, Gloria will carry on with the front garden. The Domestic Goddess hopes to do more painting. Number one furry will start to lay the new floor.  The plan is to try and get it ready to have its first guests in June............

Sorry for disappearing once again yesterday baggees, but it was nothing bad, in fact it was something good! Baggy was having much too much fun to let Creative Clara spend time blogging. Yesterday Baggy had a reunion with her school friends and some "boys" from the school, most of whom she hasn't seen for thirty nine years! The girls arrived at Baggy's house yesterday morning. Baggy's number one furry took charge as Hormonal Hannah and The Domestic Goddess put Baggy into a mini-panicky-meltdown. Cal rustled up a lovely lunch as Gloria Gardener showed the girls around the garden. Then he drove them all over to Southwold to meet up with the boys.

Southwold was chocker-block with people as it was such a lovely Easter day. Baggy and the girls went into the pub and thankfully immediately recognised a couple of the boys, not that they recognised all the girls!  After a wine or two, they all walked to Walberswick, which unlike Southwold was spookily empty. They went to what is usually a very popular pub. It was like the Marie Celeste! Creative Clara realised that if she were watching a horror movie, she'd be screaming at the screen, "Don't go in! There's obviously something very wrong!" But in they all went, to the garden with "sea views". No one was there, so all twelve of them could sit around a huge table and catch up over more wine and beers.

The original plan had been to get the ferry back across to Southwold and find somewhere to eat. the new plan was to stay put and eat at the still empty pub. The sun was glorious, the sea breeze however was icy, so they retreated inside for more wine, beer, food and laughter. It was a very lovely day. Number one furry came and collected Baggy and the girls to take them home. More chatting over cups of tea before bed.

This morning Baggy had to drag herself out of bed as the girls were all up and about before 8.00! But it meant there was time for hot cross buns for breakfast, kindly brought over by one of the girls. Once again Hannah put The Domestic Goddess into a panic. One task she had, just the one, toast the hot cross buns! How hard could it be? Too hard apparently - she burnt them. Calum took over. Furry Mama and the girls took Minty Mutt for a walk. Then Grotty Groom and everyone went to see the horses, who were enjoying the hot sunshine in their paddocks.

Back home for final chats and photo opportunities!

And a group selfie, that didn't exactly go according to plan.

When the girls headed off to their various homes, Calum rustled up some lunch and Baggy and he enjoyed it al fresco,

while watching the birds in their beautiful garden:

It has been a wonderful weekend!....................

So much to do.

Overall day:  🙀

This will be brief Baggees, as Baggy is rather busy and running out of day! She's spent most of it chivvying The Domestic Goddess along as four of Baggy's school friends will be staying here tomorrow night. Considering how hard she worked to get it clean for Baggy's sister last weekend, it's already a dusty mess again! That's furries for you. Well, it'll just have to do, because Baggy has had enough. The Goddess has done her best. Clever Bird is sure that her friends won't mind a bit of dust.

Furry Mama had her hands full too. Poor Hinge cat, a.k.a. the low slung one, hasn't quite recovered from her cousin Pickle dog staying. She got constipated again. This time before it got to the, requiring hospitalisation stage, Furry Mama stuck laxative on Hinge's mouth and teeth, so she had to lick it off. It took a couple of days, but it did the job. But the poor little cat had great big dingly-bits hanging from her bottom and she's so fat that she can't bend over to clean herself. So, Furry Mama to the rescue with a hot, soapy flannel. Once she'd chased Hinge round most of the house, (as she panicked at what Furry Mama was going to do with her), Baggy grabbed her and applied the flannel. Hinge, as only Hinge can, immediately threw herself on her back, legs akimbo, and purred her little head off while Furry Mama washed her. The poor little sausage has fur missing all round her tail and bottom. No wonder she keeps wiping it on the floor. It looks as though bottom-washing might become a daily routine. The things Furry Mamas have to do!

Meanwhile, Creative Clara needs to get on with working out her stall for her first vintage fair on May 6th in Halesworth. She has rather a lot to do. Not least of which, deciding what she's going to sell and making sure that everything is clearly priced. It sounds ages off, but bearing in mind that Baggy will be split, as The Goddess needs to sort out the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage, Clara needs to get on with it.........

The soon-to-be-a-, might actually soon-be-a!

Sincere apologies for not appearing yesterday Baggees, but there's a simple explanation, the stress caught Baggy up! She had an all-singing and dancing migraine, that wiped her and the gang out for the entire day. She hasn't had one for a few years now, but this one was a doozey! So forget yesterday, it didn't happen!

Today, still with a lingering weirdness hanging about, Baggy was up at 6.00am - (Yeah really Baggees!), and off to the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage before 7.00am. Number one furry spent the last two nights there, but had left by the time Baggy arrived at 8.30am, so sadly she didn't see him. The Domestic Goddess got the marigolds out and set to on the sitting room. The sun was out and the cobwebs....................... Honestly, you'd think the pesky house had never been cleaned. She did discover that washing the beams had an interesting effect! She'd never done it before. They are Victorian black, why bother? Well apparently, because they're filthy! The colour of the rag, you'd think that a chain-smoker lived in the house. Clever Bird pointed out that it might possibly have something to do with the open fire! Drrrrrrr! But a representative from a holiday cottage letting company was coming at 1.00pm and Creative Clara wanted her to walk in and be wowed, so she was determined to get The Goddess to at least sort out the sitting room.

Baggy's gorgeous sister had given her some stunning blinds and curtains. The Goddess hung the curtains in the bedrooms, they look wonderful. And the blinds (which are beautiful) fit the bathroom and landing as if they were made for them. She just needs to get number one furry to hang them for her. The Goddess washed the stairs. Wow! Minty Mutt went into full-on guard dog mode - the holiday cottage representative had arrived. Early. The Goddess was wearing her Marigolds. But the lovely young lady has a German Shepherd of her own, so she loved Minty. She also loved the sitting room. And the whole cottage. Okay, there is quite a bit to do to get it ready, but the holiday company lady, she say "yes"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Baggy was so pleased and proud of herself!

Apologies for the quality of the photos Baggees, Clara forgot her camera. But even Freda Fretter admits that the cottage is looking good! The company only takes "special" properties, and Clever Bird likes their ethos, so it's all looking promising. Number one furry is on holiday next week; it looks as though it's going to be a working "holiday", as the company is quite keen for Creative Clara to be ready for holiday-makers by June 1st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No pressure then. But Baggy is excited to get a business up and running. Another one that is, as her little Etsy shop Realuv, also seems to have taken off! Another order whizzed off to the States today. So as Baggy waits for her number one furry to come home, she's on the wine, celebrating! That'll be a totally sozzled Baggy then.......................

Things are looking up.

Today didn't start well for Baggy. The black cloud was overwhelming. Hormonal Hannah kept Baggy under the bed covers until 10.00am and then stopped her from getting dressed. She finally showered at 11.30, but didn't want to leave the house. Everything seemed completely overwhelming and impossible again. Once dressed, Clever Bird persuaded The Domestic Goddess to get busy and take Baggy's mind off things.

She went outside to hang up some washing. Furry Mama realised that a cat must have followed her, when the garden changed from a garden of bird song, to one of squeaky alarm calls. But there was no sign of them. It occurred to Clever Bird that The Goddess left the garage door open when she got the drier out. Yup!

Cats! As Bracket explored the garage, The Hinge was on Baggy's bed feeling sorry for herself. The poor pussums is constipated again. Furry Mama is worried about her, but managed to persuade her to lick some laxative, so fingers crossed she gets better and doesn't need another hospital trip.

As the day disappeared Baggy felt no less anxious. Cal told her to get Furry Mama to walk Minty. He was right, she needed to get out. So did Minty. When she got home, the email Creative Clara had given up hope of arrived - Clara will soon be doing her very first vintage fair! Oh yes, Clara is going to be a market trader. She's nervous-excited, and already getting her stock organised. This cheered Baggy up no end and the cloud lifted a little. This could be her way forward to earning a bit of a living, alongside the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage.

The Goddess went to get her washing in, only to discover a certain mutt eating yet another bird feeder!

Ten years old and still a total monkey! Butter wouldn't melt.

Furry Mama is so Blessed to have such lovely furries. She just really wishes that the cats weren't such effective hunters!

Washing brought in, Clever Bird realised that it was gone 4.00pm and Baggy hadn't eaten anything. Cold pork and bubble-and-squeak beckoned. As The Goddess was rustling it up, Clever Bird checked her emails and realised she'd had another order from Realuv. This gorgeous art deco brooch has a new owner.

Clara packed it while Baggy was trying to eat her supper, then whipped into town and posted it. Things are looking up for Realuv. And for Baggy...........

And down with a bang!

After being totally relaxed, without a care in the world, or any pressure for the last three days, it was probably inevitable that Hormonal Hannah would be extra difficult today. It took Clever Bird an hour to persuade Baggy to get dressed, but even then, Furry Mama couldn't persuade Hannah to let Baggy out of the house. Furry Mama won another hour later, when Minty Mutt's appealing eyes melted her heart. Once out, Baggy decided that she would take Grotty Groom straight to see the horses when Minty was home again. Creative Clara side-tracked her on the way. She'd really hoped to have an e-mail to say that there was a spare space at the next vintage fair, but as she hadn't, she decided to visit the antique shop of the organiser. It was shut. Undeterred, she went and bought pricing tags and cards to develop her display.

When Grotty got to the yard, the sun was finally out. Grotty grabbed Wesley's grooming kit and some parsnips and headed to the paddocks. She also had a packet of the Polos that Baggy's sister had bought Grotty, in her pocket. The instant the Boys saw Grotty they both walked to the gate.

They had a couple of Polos each and went back to their grass-munching. Grotty grabbed her brushes and some rubber bands and started to groom Wesley. He let her, but was a little stand-offish. Psychic Ploppo was well aware that he was letting her know that he wasn't happy with her. "Where do you think you've been Mum? I haven't seen you for a week".
"So sorry I couldn't get over Wes, but I'm here now".
"Hmmmm. Well I'm eating. You could just scratch that bit there though. Oh and on my withers. And maybe my neck".
"Okay. I'll groom your mane too and put some plaits back in."
Munch, munch.
Grotty groomed his mane through and split his mane into sections, popping a band on each section ready for plaiting.
"You'll be cooler with plaits".
"Probably, but you're not doing them!" said Wesley, as he spun away from Baggy, showing his shiny bottom to Grotty.
"Come on Wessles, it won't take long."
"No. You deserted me". Wesley trotted off. Baggy followed. As soon as Grotty lifted her hand to do a plait, Wesley spun away and trotted even further away.
"Right, I get the message". Baggy retired to Grotty's grooming kit and sat on the box, leaning on the bottom rail of the paddock. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the horses were munching and all Baggy wanted to do was cry. Not because she was upset with Wesley - she wasn't. But because she agreed with him. She should have been over to see him. She should be riding him. Guilt. Worry. Disappointment. Patheticness.

Wesley wandered closer and closer. Then dropped his nose onto Baggy's knees. He sniffed and nibbled them with his lips. "Got any more Polos? And I'm sure I can smell parsnips, where are they?"
Grotty stroked his nose. While Freda Fretter wondered if Baggy was about to lose a knee cap. Wesley was after all cross with her. He instantly picked up on her anxiousness and left once more. A few minutes later the sequence was repeated. Clever Bird decided to get Grotty to do Wesley's stretches. It wasn't too successful, but she managed some of them. While his head was down, Grotty managed to put some peculiar bunches in his mane, as there was no way he was going to let her do the plaits. Parsnip demolished, he headed off once more.

Grotty gave up and went and had a coffee with the yard manager before heading home once more. Well, after she'd retraced her steps to Wesley's paddock and found Baggy's car key that she'd dropped by the fence when retrieving the parsnips that is! Baggy still felt low, so she had a long chat with number one furry, during which she glanced at the clock. How was it 3.30pm? Cal suggested that Gloria Gardener go out and burn all the remaining weeds and leaves from yesterday. Good plan. She popped out to do it and spent a happy-while getting kippered. Clever Bird couldn't quite believe that it was by then 5.30pm! But at least the painting efforts of yesterday were looking lovely in the evening sunshine........

Apologies Baggees for Creative Clara's absence yesterday, the day disappeared in a haze of loveliness. Furry Mama, Calum, Baggy's sister Debby, Minty Mutt and his cousin Pickle dog all walked the two miles into Halesworth to go and visit a vintage market. They had breakfast first and as they were finishing it off, all manner of nutty people started to dance past - it was Fool's Day. There were dozens of them! These are just some:

Baggy's sister managed to get herself scooped up!

Poor little Pickle dog who is terrified of bangs wasn't too impressed, but it was quite a spectacle. Most shops in town were then inspected before spending a merry couple of hours mooching around the vintage market. Creative Clara has enquired about getting a space for Realuv, so fingers crossed, as there's a waiting list. They then headed the two miles back home, by which time Minty Mutt was struggling a little. Further cappuccinos and cake were consumed at the village café before making the last leg home.

It was such a beautiful afternoon that they all sat in the garden, listening to the birds and chilling. Cal and Debby decided an afternoon tipple was required. Baggy refrained. Not because she was being good or virtuous, but because she had to drive to the pub later. One problem with that plan, everywhere was fully booked. Cal rang round everywhere he could think of; all full. Of course they had forgotten that the schools are off. He finally booked us into a fairly local pub. This should have rung alarm bells. It was empty! They had a lovely evening, but the meal was ghastly. No wonder it was empty.

By the time they got home, everyone was ready for bed and Creative Clara was much too tired to blog. Today, Calum, Debby and Gloria Gardener have spent the whole day, clearing, weeding, burning stuff and painting. The garden is beginning to look like a garden rather than a wild wood. And although Grotty Groom had intended going to see the horses and taking Debby to see the new yard, once again they ran out of day. By the time Calum had cooked everyone a lovely roast dinner, it was evening and Debby and Pickle had to head off home. It has been a very lovely weekend........
