Overall day: 💖
Sorry for disappearing once again yesterday baggees, but it was nothing bad, in fact it was something good! Baggy was having much too much fun to let Creative Clara spend time blogging. Yesterday Baggy had a reunion with her school friends and some "boys" from the school, most of whom she hasn't seen for thirty nine years! The girls arrived at Baggy's house yesterday morning. Baggy's number one furry took charge as Hormonal Hannah and The Domestic Goddess put Baggy into a mini-panicky-meltdown. Cal rustled up a lovely lunch as Gloria Gardener showed the girls around the garden. Then he drove them all over to Southwold to meet up with the boys.
Southwold was chocker-block with people as it was such a lovely Easter day. Baggy and the girls went into the pub and thankfully immediately recognised a couple of the boys, not that they recognised all the girls! After a wine or two, they all walked to Walberswick, which unlike Southwold was spookily empty. They went to what is usually a very popular pub. It was like the Marie Celeste! Creative Clara realised that if she were watching a horror movie, she'd be screaming at the screen, "Don't go in! There's obviously something very wrong!" But in they all went, to the garden with "sea views". No one was there, so all twelve of them could sit around a huge table and catch up over more wine and beers.
The original plan had been to get the ferry back across to Southwold and find somewhere to eat. the new plan was to stay put and eat at the still empty pub. The sun was glorious, the sea breeze however was icy, so they retreated inside for more wine, beer, food and laughter. It was a very lovely day. Number one furry came and collected Baggy and the girls to take them home. More chatting over cups of tea before bed.
This morning Baggy had to drag herself out of bed as the girls were all up and about before 8.00! But it meant there was time for hot cross buns for breakfast, kindly brought over by one of the girls. Once again Hannah put The Domestic Goddess into a panic. One task she had, just the one, toast the hot cross buns! How hard could it be? Too hard apparently - she burnt them. Calum took over. Furry Mama and the girls took Minty Mutt for a walk. Then Grotty Groom and everyone went to see the horses, who were enjoying the hot sunshine in their paddocks.
Back home for final chats and photo opportunities!
And a group selfie, that didn't exactly go according to plan.
When the girls headed off to their various homes, Calum rustled up some lunch and Baggy and he enjoyed it al fresco,
while watching the birds in their beautiful garden:
It has been a wonderful weekend!....................
