Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.

Overall day: 😳
It's not been the most productive of days for Baggy. Largely because The Domestic Goddess headed over to the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage, to meet number one furry there. The journey went a bit pear-shaped and took two hours, so as she'd set off fairly late, she didn't get there until 1.30pm. She immediately set to tidying up the kitchen floor: taking the masking tape off, neatening the Polyfilla, vacuuming then washing any paste and paint marks off, while trying not to swear at ten-stone of German Shepherd who would insist on constantly walking underneath Baggy! Calum arrived a little after 2.00 and asked Furry Mama if she'd take him to his dentist appointment. The Goddess really wanted to get on, but Clever Bird realised that number one would probably not be able to drive afterwards, as he reacts badly to Novacane. So like a good wife, she took him to his ninety-minute(!!) appointment. She decided to go window shopping while she waited.
Creative Clara needs to buy so much stuff for the soon-to-be-a that it's scary, so she thought she'd do some checking out of sources and prices. She ended up buying five cushions and a throw (although that might be going back), for the main bedroom. By the time Calum came out of his appointment (as high as a kite and not sure what planet he was on), Freda Fretter was in a panic about just how much everything was going to cost. But Clever Bird pointed out that the five cushions had cost less than one would expect to pay for one, and they looked lovely when she got them home. So more searching of bargains will ensue. On the way home they popped into the auction viewing and put a couple of commission bids in for tomorrow. One on a nineteenth-century elm and oak Windsor chair, the other on a seventeenth-century oak side table and chair. They were cheeky bids, so it's highly unlikely they'll get them, but they would be perfect for the "feature" chair needed for the kitchen and the "smaller" table needed for the television to sit on.
The Goddess had also whipped into the supermarket and bought a "soggy" meal that number one would be able to eat with a very sore mouth, which she cooked when they got home. As Calum flopped about looking like a sad little puppy, The Goddess decided to wash all the shelves and drawers in the fridge/freezer. Then she started on one of the things on her list, paint the cupboard.

Clever Bird is not sure the photographs do it justice, it looks rather nice in reality. It's not white, it's "Flint", a subtle grey. She needs to do the one on the wall tomorrow. But the list gets bigger!
