Overall day: 👾
It was inevitable really, Baggy's had number one furry with her for eleven days, so today was going to be difficult. He left for work at 4.30am and Baggy went back to a restless sleep. At 8.00am Minty Mutt scratched the bed to get Furry Mama to let him out. Baggy traipsed downstairs, half asleep, in her Birthday suit. She opened the kitchen door and let him out, to be hit by a blast of icy air. She shut the door and waited. And waited. And waited. Clever Bird decided she'd better check he hadn't got out, she shoved a naked Baggy out of the door to check that the gate was shut. It was. She decided that mint must have gone up to the top of the garden. She shut the door again, shivering now and covered in goosebumps and waited. And waited. Freda Fretter started to panic. Hormonal Hannah just wanted to get back in her warm bed. Furry Mama opened the door again and called Minty. She heard a scratch on the gate. "Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?" Furry Mama shot outside and opened the gate, while trying to hide Baggy's nakedness from the neighbours. Minty sauntered in. It was very windy, so Clever Bird assumed that the gate must have blown open. She sighed with relief that a) the neighbour who bought the garden wasn't in it watching her and b) a bit of Baggy hadn't snapped off in the cold!
Baggy (at the insistence of Hormonal Hannah) went back to bed. Every now and again there was a very loud bang. Each time, Mint, who'd decided to stay downstairs, barked his head off. But Baggy still went back to sleep, with both cats curled up purring next to her. She woke at about ten, but Hannah just couldn't face the day, so Baggy went straight back to sleep. It was eleven before she decided to drag herself out of bed, encouraged by the Hinge, who was head-butting Baggy and tapping her nose with her paw, to get Furry Mama to feed her.
It was another hour before Baggy actually bothered to get dressed, but then Clever Bird had a word! Furry Mama took Minty out, Clever Bird's latest (annoyed) letter to the solicitor in her hand for posting. As she set off there was another loud bang! Clever Bird checked the side of the house, the other gate was wide open, then banging against the house wall - no wonder Minty got out. They went on a walk around the village, hoping to bump into a post box. Freda Fretter constantly worried as she walked. Baggy just has way too much to do and it all seems totally overwhelming again, so it's easier to shut down and do nothing. But this will just make everything worse again, so somehow Baggy needs to persuade Bit-at-a-time Betty to lead the gang for a while. So she started today by getting The Domestic Goddess to tidy up the house after a week off. Hannah immediately felt a little better once the house looked better. Now she needs to get the gang to focus on the rest of the week and the coming week:
* Sitting room and kitchen ceilings to be painted at the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage.
* Lawns to be cut at the soon-to-be-a.
* Garden to be totally weeded and tidied up at the soon-to-be-a.
* District council to be chased about the change of use to a holiday cottage.
* Insurance quotes needed for the soon-to-be-a.
* Schedule to be worked out for an opening date.
* Research to be done on all the items still needed to be bought and a budget done.
* Solicitor to be spoken to about the land purchases at Baggy's home.
* Bills to be paid.
* Realuv stock to be researched and priced up.
* Trestle tables for the vintage fair to be checked and a practise display to be organised.
* Billy Bob to be sorted out and cleaned.
* Garage to be reclaimed (again!) so that Grotty Groom can get to the drawers that contain Wesley's face and nose nets.
* New products to be added to Creative Clara's on-line shop.
* Don't panic........................
