Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.
Baggy's daily state! Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Black.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 7.
Tears: No.
Pancakes (Yes/No): Nothing to make them with.
Syns (Baggy is allowed 8-15): ??.
Weight in her terrifying naked state (Stones and pounds): No scales at the soon-to-be-a!
Overall day: 😰
Apologies for not appearing yesterday baggees, but Creative Clara didn't even have time to switch on her laptop. Baggy drove The Domestic Goddess over to the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage first thing yesterday morning. As soon as she got there she attacked the Venetian blinds that she had started to clean on her last visit. She hadn't been at them long when Minty Mutt started to guard-bark. Furry Mama told him to "shut up", which had the usual zero effect, only for Baggy to jump out of her skin when she realised that the front door had opened and someone was in the house! Fortunately, it was number one furry, home for the rest of the day as work was a bit quiet. The Goddess made him a cup of tea, then set him to work - forgetting that he'd started his day at 4.00am. Firstly he took the wheels off the trailer in the front garden and took them off to get new tyres fitted. While he was gone The Goddess carried on.
Neither she, or number one stopped all day! The list of things to do is still terrifyingly long, but it's getting shorter. But nothing in the soon-to-be-a is simple. Everything requires extra work or ingenuity - thankfully Calum is extremely practical! Fitting a light - easy right? No!
But after a bit of genius-thinking on Calum's part, and about ninety-minutes of sweat, the lovely light that Baggy's generous sister gave them is up and working.
Cleaning the butcher's block - simple right? Not really, especially when the wheels fall off.
Everything seems to turn into a major deal, so it's all taking a really long time. So Clever Bird decided that Baggy needed to stay over. Calum went off to work. The Goddess has only stopped long enough today for Furry Mama to take Minty Mutt for a walk (narrowly avoiding the hail storm). She decided to concentrate on the kitchen and try to figure out what needed to stay and what needed to go back home. She had no idea there was still so much non-holiday cottage stuff in the cupboards, so the day has been spent emptying, sorting and cleaning. Total chaos ensued:
But at least the pantry-cupboard got painted and organised, as did the drawers:
She also managed to paint the wood that Calum fixed yesterday, in the bathroom behind the loo and sink.
But the truth is that every time The Goddess finishes a job, she notices a new one she needs to do and it's all getting rather overwhelming. But Clever Bird has had a chat with Bit-at-a-time Betty and she's going to write a list for each room and tackle it, one thing at a time............
