Overall day: 😎
Apologies Baggees for Creative Clara's absence yesterday, the day disappeared in a haze of loveliness. Furry Mama, Calum, Baggy's sister Debby, Minty Mutt and his cousin Pickle dog all walked the two miles into Halesworth to go and visit a vintage market. They had breakfast first and as they were finishing it off, all manner of nutty people started to dance past - it was Fool's Day. There were dozens of them! These are just some:
Baggy's sister managed to get herself scooped up!
Poor little Pickle dog who is terrified of bangs wasn't too impressed, but it was quite a spectacle. Most shops in town were then inspected before spending a merry couple of hours mooching around the vintage market. Creative Clara has enquired about getting a space for Realuv, so fingers crossed, as there's a waiting list. They then headed the two miles back home, by which time Minty Mutt was struggling a little. Further cappuccinos and cake were consumed at the village café before making the last leg home.
It was such a beautiful afternoon that they all sat in the garden, listening to the birds and chilling. Cal and Debby decided an afternoon tipple was required. Baggy refrained. Not because she was being good or virtuous, but because she had to drive to the pub later. One problem with that plan, everywhere was fully booked. Cal rang round everywhere he could think of; all full. Of course they had forgotten that the schools are off. He finally booked us into a fairly local pub. This should have rung alarm bells. It was empty! They had a lovely evening, but the meal was ghastly. No wonder it was empty.
By the time they got home, everyone was ready for bed and Creative Clara was much too tired to blog. Today, Calum, Debby and Gloria Gardener have spent the whole day, clearing, weeding, burning stuff and painting. The garden is beginning to look like a garden rather than a wild wood. And although Grotty Groom had intended going to see the horses and taking Debby to see the new yard, once again they ran out of day. By the time Calum had cooked everyone a lovely roast dinner, it was evening and Debby and Pickle had to head off home. It has been a very lovely weekend........
