Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.
Baggy's daily state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Blue.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 9.
Tears: Yes.
Overall day: 😳
Suffice to say that today has been a stress!! But baggees, Baggy and Calum's boy is home!
Terrible night's sleep last night. Furry Mama was way too stressed, not to mention the fact that Hormonal Hannah had made Baggy drink over half a bottle of wine! Up early for Furry Mama to walk Minty Mutt before taking him to the vet's at 8.15am. The walk was difficult. The morning was glorious, but Freda Fretter just kept making Furry Mama think that this might be her last ever walk with Mint. Then Clever Bird thought that at least he would have enjoyed it on a beautiful summer's day. Calum, Furry Mama and Mint were at the vet's for 8.00am. It was shut. Mint dragged Furry Mama down the road. They returned and went in at 8.15. Much to Hormonal Hannah's distress, after a few questions, Mint was whisked off, followed by much, "I love you - see you later"(s).
Calum and Baggy decided to go into town to get a cappuccino. Furry Mama didn't even get as far as Billy Bob before bursting into tears. Once home, The Domestic Goddess grabbed her paintbrushes and attacked the front windows. Anything to distract Furry Mama and Freda Fretter. Phone call from the vet at 1.00pm. But no, not good news, there had been an emergency, Mint had not been operated on yet. At 5.00pm, Calum called them. He was still in theatre, but they could collect him at 6.00pm.
They went via the Co-Op to buy rice and chicken. The op. went well. But the wound may split open as there was no skin to seal it well. He had biopsies on three other lumps, and the one they took off will go for analysis. His kidneys are not performing properly and he may have diabetes. But he survived the op. He couldn't walk, because the anaesthetic hadn't had time to wear off so the vet lifted his stomach with a towel, so they could get him in Billy Bob. Once in he pretty much collapsed. But a couple of hours on, and lots more painkillers, he's eaten £7-worth of chicken and a full bag of wholegrain rice, and is now asleep. Calum and Baggy are £1,000 poorer, but Minty Mutt is worth every penny. Thank you baggees for all your love and support............
