Baggy's daily state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Yellow.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 1.
Tears: No.
Overall day:😊
Another late rise for Baggy and Calum, but no sign whatsoever of the black cloud today! As it wasn't too hot, a trip out to the coast seemed like a plan. Furry Mama loaded number one furry and Minty Mutt into Billy Bob campervan and headed for the coast. As Southwold was likely to be heaving, and Walberswick and Dunwich likewise, they decided to head to Sizewell. None of them has ever been there before and Clever Bird agreed with Calum that of all the beaches in the area, it was likely to be the least busy. For those of you who don't know why, well the thing that Sizewell is known for is not the beach, but the Sizewell nuclear power stations - Sizewell A and Sizewell B as they are affectionately known! There is currently much local uproar as they are thinking of building a new one - yep, you guessed it Sizewell C! The fish are four times the size at Sizewell as anywhere else along the coast (although rumours that they glow in the dark are greatly exagerated 😈😈), and you can see the power stations from every seaside town for miles! So Baggy wasn't too sure what to expect, but they parked up and headed towards the sea.
They were right, it wasn't very busy, but it was rather pleasant. Lots of little fishing boats, ready to catch the giant fish, loads of plants growing including wild roses and honeysuckle.
A pleasant coastal track to wander along, with a view of the power station on the return amble.
A nice easy wander to the sea for Minty Mutt to have a paddle.
Cute coastal houses and huts.
More paddling to cool down.
A little sit down with Furry Mama and her collapsible water bowl and bottle of water.
Before heading to Sizewell Tea. Get it baggees? Sizewell T, yes sorry, blame Calum!!
For a cappuccino and because Clever Bird let Calum go in and order while Furry Mama stayed outside with Mint, a very large piece of Raspberry and White Chocolate Sponge Cake!!
Back home to another paddle and a good way of washing the sea salt off.
It's so lovely to be able to head to the coast for a couple of hours! But it did take it out of Mint and Calum. Mint had a siesta, Cal had a chicken sandwich and watched telly. Baggy didn't want Hormonal Hannah playing up, so she persuaded The Domestic Goddess to get on with painting, or rather re-painting the window casements in the correct paint this time. When she started Clever Bird realised that the colour was a lot greener and brighter than the one she had used previously, but Creative Clara loves it. But Clever Bird is grateful for the accidental "undercoat" of the paler blue. Why? Well because Hormonal Hannah can't cope with change very well and white to the new colour in one leap might have been more than she could contend with!
Tomorrow, weather permitting, The Goddess will be up a ladder re-painting the upstairs "blue", and starting on all the sashes in white; they may not look too bad in these photos, but they are so flaky they are through to bare wood in places! At least Calum brought The Goddess regular cups of tea and will shortly be cooking her some supper.............
