Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.
Baggy's daily state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Yellow.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 3.
Tears: No.
Overall day: Intense.
The pooch was scratching and grooming himself overnight so much, that Clever Bird decided that maybe sand is the thing, (or one of the things) that he's allergic to. So before Baggy had her own shower and got dressed this morning, Furry Mama gave the pooch a bath. She wasn't going to use the shampoo that the vet gave her, as she's worried about how strong it is, but Pepper and Baggy didn't react to it last time, so she decided that she would. He's such a clever lad, this time he was reasonably happy to let Furry Mama bath him. Of course nothing's that simple in Baggy's life. When Furry Mama needed to dry the pooch, Clever Bird realised that she'd left his towelling drying fleece in the campervan. She considered going out to get it, but as Baggy only had her dressing gown on, she didn't want to scare the neighbours, so she got showered and dressed first.
Once they were both dry, they headed over to Beccles. Creative Clara needed to pay some cheques in to the bank and it's the nearest branch - about a twenty-minute drive. They parked by The Quay, and Furry Mama spent a while, ball-throwing to wear Pepper out a bit, before walking into town to the bank. Pepper had his training class at 2.30 and it was only 12.45, so Furry Mama decided that they would pay a visit to the rescue centre that Pepper came from and let them see how well he's doing. After forty-five minutes of driving around in circles trying to find the place, Baggy gave up and headed to the training centre. They were thirty-minutes early, so Baggy crawled into the back of Billy Bob with Pepper and chatted to Calum on the phone.
The class was intense! The first time that Pepper had met the other dogs, all eight of them! And for the entire hour, all the dogs were off the lead! In his little Christmas jumper, Pepper excelled himself once again. He did freak out a couple of times and head over to the exit door, so the trainer made Furry Mama do a silly song and dance while ignoring him, until he came back over to her. Yes baggetts, it was very embarrassing! But then the trainer got the whole class to join in with her, and do The Birdy Song and Pepper came back to join her!
Now they're home. Pepper is fast asleep. Baggy is trying to stay awake. Concentrating so hard has taken it out of both of them. It clearly made them hungry too. Pepper raided Baggy's handbag on the way home, and ate all the remaining treats - destroying the expensive treat-pouch in the process! Baggy has just eaten a whole box of Jammy Dodgers with her cup of tea (without destroying the packet). Once this blog is published, she'll probably have a little snooze. The other good news is that Pepper hasn't actually scratched himself since his bath. Freda Fretter has her fingers crossed that giving the pooch baths might sort out his scratching problem...........
