Baggy's daily state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Blue.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 2.
Tears: No.
Overall day(s): Snowy.
Hormonal Hannah is in one of her, "I don't want to leave the house" moods. That would be the case even were the weather summery! But she had to go out yesterday, because she needed to take Grotty Groom to the yard. She needed to try the two rugs she'd got, on the Boy Wessles. It was raining hard as she set off. Billy Bob Jalopy campervan was freezing cold, so Baggy put a rug over her knees. Pepper Pooch insisted on sitting in the passenger seat. Off they headed through the village with Billy Bob steaming up at a rapid rate of knots. Clever Bird wiped the windscreen with Baggy's hippy mitten. It soon steamed up again. Freda Fretter realised that if she didn't do something, she'd have an accident, so she put the fan on. The fan that makes the freezing cold air whizz about even more quickly. A teeny-weeny little hole appeared in the grey steamy fug - on the passenger side! Well at least Pepper could see where they were going. Baggy wiped her side again. It started to sleet. It was an interesting drive!
Once at the yard, Furry Mama decided to play ball with the pooch in the indoor school first. By then it was pouring with rain with sleet mixed in for good measure. Thank goodness for being at a super-posh yard, so they could be under cover. Eventually Pepper lay down in an exhausted little heap. Baggy wandered over to him and realised that he'd laid in the only puddle in the whole, massive school! Ah well. Furry Mama put the pooch in Billy Bob and Grotty went to see the Boys. First she decided to try Wesley in the fleece she had bought. After five minutes of trying to undo the buckles, Hannah lost her temper and Baggy gave up. Clever Bird decided that it needed to go back! It's one thing Grotty Groom fighting with buckles, but expecting the lovely yard manager and her grooms to, well, that's not an option. Next rug. Grotty started to get it out of the bag and realised it was a medium-weight, not a light-weight one. Lots of cuddles and Polo mints later, Grotty headed off back to town to return the rugs. The Domestic Goddess spent the money she got back on the rug, to buy three more dehumidifiers. By the time they got home again, it was snowing. Hard. But it didn't settle.
Until this morning that is. Overnight it not only snowed, but it froze, so Baggy and Pepper woke up to a white garden. Clever Bird realised that Pepper wouldn't ever have seen snow on the ground before. He wasn't too sure about it.
Eventually, he decided to brave it.
Needs must!
Creative Clara had a parcel to send off from Realuv, and Furry Mama needed to take the pooch to the vets, but Clever Bird took charge. Baggy, at the risk of sounding immodest, is a good driver. However Billy Bob is forty years old next year, with no power-steering and "interesting" brakes and rear-wheel drive. Seriously not a good combination on snow and ice. So Hannah had the perfect excuse to stay in. But the pooch needed to get out, so Furry Mama braved the cold.
As Freda Fretter is not prepared to risk the old quarry because she's convinced there's some dodgy germs back there, they walked round the village.
The Church looked beautiful. Furry Mama cut across the field so that she could throw the ball for Pepper.
Psychic Ploppo decided to do a bit of contemplation while walking round the Labyrinth. Good plan, very relaxing, a bit of mindfulness for Hormonal Hannah. Except that Furry Mama was throwing the ball at the same time. And not concentrating on it!
Clever Bird watched it disappear under the snow. Pepper couldn't find it.
Neither could Baggy. Yet another (brand new) ball lost! Pepper wasn't impressed. So he decided to explore the snow instead.
He loves snow!
Of course he has way too much energy for this to have worn him out, so Furry Mama carried on the ball throwing in the garden.
The snow's still there and totally freezing over again this evening. Now pretty as it is, Freda Fretter is hoping that it won't still be there tomorrow. Furry Mama and Pepper have their Christmas training party and Creative Clara really needs to post off her Realuv parcel.
Baggy might need to put her big girl pants on, and check out just how good a driver she really is...........
