The best ever!

Note to readers (my lovely Baggetts): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.

Baggy's daily state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Yellow.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 1.
Tears: None.
Overall day(s): Best Christmas ever.

Apologies wonderful baggetts, Baggy and the gang have been having such a truly brilliant Christmas, that they haven't had any time to let Creative Clara write Baggy's blog. This is quite amazing really, considering how much she's hated the season since her childhood! She did manage to take the odd photo and video here and there along the way, so here they are.

Christmas Day itself was just Baggy and her furries. Number one furry had already cooked his traditional sausage rolls on Christmas Eve and he was up and preparing Christmas lunch early. Bucks Fizz and sausage rolls, with Christmas presents for breakfast.

Of course Baggy was having such a lovely time that Clara forgot to take any photos all day, apart from a couple of the pooch.

Christmas lunch was put together while Furry Mama took said pooch for a walk around the village. They went and threw the ball on the Church Green while Psychic Ploppo did a few circuits of the Labyrinth, reflecting on how lucky Baggy is. At which point she noticed the ball that Furry Mama had previously lost in the snow! Result - see, lucky. Lunch was Heaven, traditional English Christmas food: turkey, chipolata sausages, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, carrots, creamed carrots and swede, sage and onion stuffing, sausage meat stuffing, bread sauce, cranberry sauce and gravy! Cal is a much better cook than The Domestic Goddess, albeit she's pretty good as the washer-upper. It was a lovely relaxed day.

On Boxing Day the alarm went off at 5.00am! Baggy, Cal and Pepper Pooch were on their way to Kent by 5.45. No traffic of any note, so they arrived at Baggy's sister's house in Shoreham just before 9.00. Quick tour of Debby's lovely house as they hadn't seen it since she's had it all beautifully updated. Lots of hugs with the nieces, Emily and Abby. Introductions of Pepper to the girls and to Pickle dog; she had her doubts! More wonderful Christmas present swapping. Breakfast. Then a walk with some of Debby's friends from the village to a pub in a neighbouring village.

Clever Bird is not entirely sure that Baggy had the correct outfit on for the hike across the fields, but not to worry!

That evening after a lovely gammon supper, everyone relaxed with copious amounts of alcohol, and played very silly games.

Pickle decided that her cousin Pepper was an okay pooch really.

Another day, another walk. The scenery around Shoreham is stunning. The weather however on Tuesday - ghastly - rain, sleet, wind and snow!

Quite a long walk for the unfit duo of Baggy and Calum!

Pepper Pooch on the other hand, couldn't get enough of it!

By the time they eventually got home, everyone was more than ready for hot mulled wine.

But not before the very wet and muddy Pepper had been sent to Billy Bob Jalopy campervan with Furry Mama and Calum, to be dried off. Mud and Debby's pristine cream and mushroom coloured house - not a good combination. He had a little snooze while he dried. Then collapsing was the order of the evening - for everyone. Well after Deb and the girls had organised another lovely supper of cold meats and bubble-and-squeak.

Very late night. Lots of drink. Lots of antics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the middle of supper making, Baggy and her sister started a little dance, not realising for quite a while that Calum was videoing it! Unfortunately Claver Bird has wasted over forty minutes trying to get it in this blog, but she can't do it! Sorry baggetts. The link below might work if you want a chuckle!

Another day. Deja vu. Another walk. This time Calum decided to stay at home and watch films, so it was just Debby and Furry Mama. It was a stunning day, but literally freezing - at least the ground was, but Baggy and Debby got rather warm!

Baggy seriously struggled to get up the very steep hill! Back to the Fat Club plan for Baggy in the new year! So Clever Bird decided to let Debby be in charge of ball throwing for both dogs and Furry Mama watched from (what she thought was the top of the hill - until they went even higher up it).

Two hours later an extremely tired Baggy and a whacked out Pepper Pooch, a chirpy Debby and a chilled out Pickle dog got home. Tea and turkey sandwiches, Christmas cake and cheese, set Baggy and Calum up for the drive home, after a truly wonderful Christmas. Baggy hopes that all you baggetts have also had a wonderful few days, whether you celebrate Christmas or not..........
