Here we are again Baggees, Creative Clara's weekly blog - except that it feels like a month since she wrote one, to Baggy! Hormonal Hannah makes Baggy forget what she did this morning, so how exactly did Clever Bird think that she'd be able to remember what the gang had been up to for a week? However, here goes nothing.
Firstly thank you to the Baggees from New Zealand, Belarus and Russia who seem to have been reading lots of back blogs this week. It makes Baggy feel all warm and fuzzy knowing that so many people around the world like to read about her ordinary little life; or maybe you just think she's barking mad, but that's okay, she still loves you all.
Well it's been a really good week for Baggy and the gang. It started last weekend with Grotty Groom being excited to go and see the Boys, having neglected them for weeks thanks to Hormonal Hannah and her weird guilt thing! Grotty and Calum both went over with the pooch. Furry Mama took him into the school to burn off a little energy before Grotty went to the horses.
Because Freda Fretter was still a little worried about his lameness, she didn't want Furry Mama throwing his ball and him over doing it, so she left him to his own devices. This is what you get when you have a young fit pooch with rather a lot of energy. Twenty minutes of hurtling and he was a little worn out!
He had a lovely time!
Fortunately he didn't seem to go lame, but he did somehow catch himself on one of his paws and squidged blood all over the tack room floor. Sigh!
Furry Mama put him in the car once he'd stopped bleeding and cooled down and he snoozed while Grotty got a huge shock. Okay so she knew that the Boys had begun to moult, but not quite this dramatically! She felt awful that she hadn't groomed them for over two weeks - they looked terrible! Not that they cared, but that's not really the point.
See - terrible matted coats. But at least Calum and Furry Mama could easily see where they'd been. Ninety minutes and a bin bag of horse hair later, they gave up. On Sunday they did a repeat performance! And Grotty went again on Wednesday. Creative Clara forgot to take photos of the 'after', but at least they look like horses again, rather than woolly mammoths. They both loved the fuss.
Clever Bird has made Clara concentrate on editing and typing up her novel this week. She is happy to say that she has got to Chapter 5, possibly a third of the way through.
She has also been putting new, old products into her Etsy shop having had three orders this week, she needed to restock. These are a few of her new things.
She's also booked her first new fair of the year in May. Busy, busy, busy!
Two more last minute bookings in the holiday cottage for before and after Valentine's day also cheered Clara up. Her little businesses are doing nicely!
Meanwhile the pooch is much better now that he's back on his feather food. And at some point during the week got his first experience of snow falling from the sky. He was not sure that this was at all safe, so required Baggy to take Furry Mama out in it first to prove that it wouldn't hurt her. Pity Clever Bird let her do this with just a t-shirt on.
Funnily enough Baggy now has a cough and cold. As Creative Clara has literally been glued to her laptop all week, the pooch has only been having local walks, so yesterday, as it was a beautiful day Clever Bird decided that Hormonal Hannah and Pepper needed a treat, so they headed over to Dunwich Heath in Billy Bob Jalopy campervan. (Avoiding the beach because of the dogs dying on local beaches).
They walked for over an hour and loved every minute of it. Afterwards, The Domestic Goddess rustled up a cup of coffee, while the pooch recovered, and Creative Clara finished packing her latest order to post it off to France.
As the kettle was boiling Clever Bird noticed how cold it must have been in the van - Pepper's water was still frozen after two hours of being in the sun.
But they sat enjoying the view and the breeze. Baggy felt very Blessed.
The pooch tried to sleep, but Mini Calum decided that music was required, so they all listened to Classic FM for a while.
It revived the Gang's spirits enough for Clara to get more done! While the pooch pretended he was a cat.
Just one problem with all this busy-ness - The Domestic Goddess hasn't exactly had a look-in. But as Baggy's lovely number one Furry is again working six days this week, at least she might be persuaded to appear tomorrow. Then again she might not, because Grotty would like to see the Wessles again..........
