Baggy's daily state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Blue.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 7.
Tears: Naturally.
Well Baggees, it's Friday and number one is home for the first time this week. Baggy is delighted to have him home, but Pepper Pooch gave him the best greeting (although he did have a little accident all over the floor in the process, no Baggees not Calum, Pepper). Baggy managed not to do the same, although it wouldn't be the first time - Clever Bird blames Lawrence-the-durmoid-cyst, although what her excuse is these days, she's not sure; old age and the surgery to remove Lawrence presumably. On the subject of old age, she was getting a bit annoyed that people no longer seem to respond, 'Oh, but you're not old,' when she says things like that, after all she was only just beginning to accept the description of middle-aged! But as she wandered along the beach this week it occurred to Clever Bird that she could no longer qualify as middle-aged, as it is highly unlikely that she'll live to be 117! So yep she's old. So old in fact, that when she started work the retirement age for women (which seemed to be forever away), was 60. Next year she should be officially retiring - well, if a) the law hadn't changed completely and b) she hadn't inadvertently retired after her Wesley fall, over eleven years ago! But seriously who cares? Yep, she's old, and physically she does feel it, but mentally she is quite happy to remain a big kid. But Creative Clara digresses......
It's not been the easiest week for Hormonal Hannah: no happy pills, stomach pills that made her feel ill, and iron that keeps upsetting her stomach, all combined to put her in a bit of a worrying world - that and she's finally admitted that she's old - and repetitive. The anxiety has spiralled a bit, and Hannah's agoraphobia has been causing Baggy to confine the gang to the house. So thank the Universe for Pepper Pooch! In order to avoid a destroyed house, like it or not, Furry Mama has to get out and about. So she has replaced her happy pills with beaches! First Dunwich:
Then Southwold:
Today Dunwich Heath:
Baggy is so grateful to live in such a spectacular part of the world, and sea air definitely helps Hannah to feel better - Clever Bird needs to work out a way of bottling some of it, so she always has some to squirt at Hannah. Two hours of walking today, had the pooch and Baggy so exhausted that they had a little lie down in Billy Bob Jalopy,
while watching the clouds.
The pooch instantly fell asleep. Baggy almost did, but Clever Bird stopped her because it would have been for a couple of hours at least, and she's so spaced-out when she wakes up that she can't think, let alone drive. Instead, after a bit of lunch, she decided to have a quick snooze before Calum got home - four hours later!!!!!
Baggy has further blood tests on Monday. Clever Bird is optimistic that they will be an improvement, as the current iron seems to be more acceptable to her system; but it occurs to her, that as she is in need of every red blood cell that she can hang on to, having blood removed from Baggy's body every couple of weeks, might not be the best way of achieving that!
Meanwhile, Creative Clara decided to be positive, and put a couple of her beach finds sculptures into her Etsy shop. She took photos:
as the pooch watched on,
Clara put her camera down, and knocked her 'Mother and Daughter' off the bench onto the concrete! From this, which ignoring the time it took to find the pieces and to polish the pebbles, took over six hours to make:
To this, which took a mere second to make:
and Clara seems to be missing a head! Ah well, time to get the glue back out. But at least the angel is now in Realuv..........
