For the first time this week, number one furry was able to come home last night. But as always there was a problem - he couldn't get home as his car was being fixed, so of course Furry Mama went and picked him up. No problem. Well, not until this morning of course, when Baggy had to persuade Hormonal Hannah to get up at 6.00am, so that they could take Calum back to his lorry. Clever Bird decided that rather than letting Baggy go back to bed, she and the pooch would head to the coast.
They were at Southwold by 7.00am. Clever Bird had not thought it through properly, it had been wild-and-woolly for the previous 48-hours, but quite warm with it. Not so today! It was freezing!
Now Baggy is no wimp, but the sand stung her face and the wind was so icy that her hands were turning blue!
Then it decided to drizzle. Baggy was not wearing anything waterproof!
The pooch did not care - he just wanted his ball thrown as always. This of course required Baggy to expose her hand!
The closer they got to the sea, the colder it got.
As the sun began to come out, it warmed up a little.
The pooch was having fun, as always; while Baggy (who was by now soaked), attempted to walk fast enough to stay warm.
Then the sun made a proper appearance,
Baggy warmed up a little and the pooch got too hot.
Furry Mama ended up on her derrier when she got too close to the edge of the newly eroded beach. Sigh!
Pepper just waited for her to dust herself off and throw the ball again.
Funny though, that every time something like that happens, Creative Clara will find a special pebble or a beautiful bit of sea glass!
It was still only 7.30 in the morning, and Baggy was wandering along, thanking God for her wonderful life.
The sea continued to do its thing, as the tide came in.
And as Pepper and Furry Mama headed back towards the pier (with the wind on Baggy's back - much easier to cope with), Freda Fretter noticed two people making the most of life, also known as total nutters!!
Freda tried not to panic, but they kept disappearing! But she was right to be a little concerned, as she watched them being knocked off their feet, as they tried to get out!
When Baggy finally drew up next to them as they got dressed, she called out, 'You two had me worried.'
The woman replied, 'No need we're strong'.
'I can see that, but still....' although Freda was thinking, yep, very muscly and fit-looking, but considerably older than she'd expected.
'Although, it was rather rough.'
Hmmm, you think!
It was a beautiful ninety minutes though.
Baggy loves living so near to the coast! By the time they got back to Billy Bob, the pooch was pooped!
But that was Clever Bird's plan. By 8.45 they were home, with an hour to rest before Baggy went to the doctors'. But she needed Mr. My-separation-anxiety-is-even-worse-than-yours-Mum, to be too tired to stress when she left him in Billy Bob, during her appointment. Clever Bird timed it so that she should only have to leave him for twenty minutes, but of course it didn't work out like that, as at check-in it said that the doctor was running fifteen minutes late. Freda crossed bits!
The outcome of her meeting with the lovely doctor in a nutshell:
- 'Wow you've been having a rough time.'
- Seems very likely that it was the ulcer which caused the anaemia, which was in turn caused by the Sertraline.
- Iron levels have improved, so keep taking the tablets, but they have a very long way to go yet to get levels where they should be.
- Haemoglobin level is now 110, so better, but still far from good, and again will take a while to get to where they should be.
- Hence most of the symptoms Baggy still has are because she remains extremely anaemic. The rest are because of Hormonal Hannah's depression and anxiety.
- 'Do you feel that you can manage without your happy pills?' 'Well, yes I want to try, anyway.'
- 'I took myself off the Omezaperole - thingy drug, is that okay?' 'Yes.'
- 'So carry on with the iron. Don't take anything else. Have another blood test in four weeks and make an appointment to see me in a month.'
Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.
Baggy's daily state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Blue.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 6.
Tears: Naturally.
