Definitely getting there!

Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.

Baggy's daily state! Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Yellow.

Tears: Nope.
Pancakes (Yes/No): No.
Syns (Baggy is allowed 8-15): No clue.
Weight in her terrifying naked state (Stones and pounds): ???.
Overall day: 😅

Day two of a not-at-all-restful Bank Holiday for Baggy and number one furry at the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage, but an awful lot has been ticked off the list. It's interesting though, as one of Baggy's friends commented on the other day, she had bad depression but no anxiety to talk about, which is unusual for Hormonal Hannah because unfortunately the two seem to go hand-in-hand for Baggy. But the last two days have been the opposite; no real depression, but terrible anxiety. But Clever Bird is going to be optimistic about it and believe that if the two are becoming separated, then she must be on the mend.

But once again Baggy is too tired (and on the wine that was in the fridge - so obviously needed drinking), for Creative Clara to make much sense. So more of a photo blog again. The bathroom now looks acceptable!

Before:

After much work on number one's part, lovely further donations from Baggy's beautiful sister, and much shopping at lunchtime on Baggy and Calum's parts, they are now very chuffed with the bathroom. Mirror from Baggy's sister, fitted with "painting" fittings and hung by Cal, cupboard, blind (also from Baggy's sister), and toilet roll holder, all put up by Cal.

The only thing that still has to be done in the bathroom is to replace the shower doors.

Blind (from Baggy's sister) put up on the landing.

Tie-backs put up in the bedroom, for the beautiful curtains (from Baggy's sister), next to Creative Clara's newly painted cupboard.

Lovely new brass knobs fitted to the chest of drawers and wardrobe, but Hormonal Hannah made Clara forget to take a photo.

Calum's motorbike loaded on Cal's revamped trailer.

And brought home.

A couple of new pots added to the front garden.

Now drunk, exhausted, but very pleased with how close they are to actually having a business, Baggy and Calum are planning on having a day off tomorrow. Don't hold your breath though baggees.......

It's been a long day baggees. It's 9.00pm and Baggy and Calum have only just stopped work at the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage. So this will be a picture blog as Baggy has no energy left to help Creative Clara out!

End of the day:

Tomorrow is "Try-and-get-the-motorbike-on-the-trailer-day", amongst about twelve other jobs. Time for bed..........

Baggy woke in a bad place. Hormonal Hannah was in charge. She didn't feel comfortable in her home. Clever Bird realised that it had something to do with having been at the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage for the last three days. Calum pointed out that a) he'd been there with her and b) the soon-to-be-a was now clutter free and the house was a mess!

The Goddess set to reclaiming the house, even though Creative Clara should have been pricing her stock for Realuv for her TWO shows next weekend! Minty Mutt stayed out of the way while trying to avoid the dive-bombing blackbird!

It took ALL day! The kitchen now looks okay, but Baggy is exhausted.

This evening Creative Clara has "lost" her blog twice (due to a useless internet connection), so apologies baggees, but she's had enough. Baggy's on the wine, trying to resist making pancakes and ready to call it a night. Tomorrow is another day........

Overall day: 😼

Day three for Baggy at the soon-to-be-holiday cottage. Bit-at-a-time Betty had a little look at Clever Bird's list. On Tuesday when she arrived there were fifty-five things on the list. Some big things to do, some little - but all practical things that have to be undertaken inside the cottage, from replacing the oven and the shower doors to cleaning windows. As she had number one furry's help on Tuesday, she got a few more ticks on her list than she'd thought possible. By the time she left for home this afternoon, the list had reduced to thirty-seven things. Oh yeah! Clever Bird is actually beginning to believe that Baggy and Cal might pull this off! The soon-to-be-a is beginning to look and feel as though it might really be soon!

Of course the list doesn't include all the things that have to be done outside! That is all a bit daunting. Baggy is trying not to think about it. But as long as she can get the little front garden looking lovely enough for photographs, she can get on with the main back garden afterwards. Stage one at the weekend will be to load Calum's old motorbike (that's sitting in the back garden - not working), onto the trailer, then tow them home on Billy Bob camper van. Well that's the plan. Sounds simple huh?

It won't be! Nothing ever is. But look at how much work is needed to sort the garden baggees - Gloria Gardener will have to polish off her gloves! And the front garden is positively pristine compared to the rear one. But considering how much Calum and Baggy have achieved inside, it won't be a problem. Nope, Clever Bird is right - Baggy can do this!

Creative Clara is loving painting Baggy's sad old pine furniture to give it a new lease of life and the slightly "trendy" look is working surprisingly well with the old cottage. So today, the main bedroom bedside table got a makeover as well.

Clara just needs to glue the knob back on. Of course it decided to start spitting rain and sleet while she did it, so it got relocated inside.

Tomorrow the new business person from the holiday company will be calling Baggy to check on her progress and she's happy to say that she'll be able to be very positive. Now Clara is going on line to buy garden furniture and duvet covers - she can't believe how excited about that Baggy is...........

Too much.

Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.

Baggy's daily state! Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Black.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 7.
Tears: No.
Pancakes (Yes/No): Nothing to make them with.
Syns (Baggy is allowed 8-15): ??.
Weight in her terrifying naked state (Stones and pounds): No scales at the soon-to-be-a!
Overall day:  😰

Apologies for not appearing yesterday baggees, but Creative Clara didn't even have time to switch on her laptop. Baggy drove The Domestic Goddess over to the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage first thing yesterday morning. As soon as she got there she attacked the Venetian blinds that she had started to clean on her last visit. She hadn't been at them long when Minty Mutt started to guard-bark. Furry Mama told him to "shut up", which had the usual zero effect, only for Baggy to jump out of her skin when she realised that the front door had opened and someone was in the house! Fortunately, it was number one furry, home for the rest of the day as work was a bit quiet. The Goddess made him a cup of tea, then set him to work - forgetting that he'd started his day at 4.00am. Firstly he took the wheels off the trailer in the front garden and took them off to get new tyres fitted. While he was gone The Goddess carried on.

Neither she, or number one stopped all day! The list of things to do is still terrifyingly long, but it's getting shorter. But nothing in the soon-to-be-a is simple. Everything requires extra work or ingenuity - thankfully Calum is extremely practical! Fitting a light - easy right? No!

But after a bit of genius-thinking on Calum's part, and about ninety-minutes of sweat, the lovely light that Baggy's generous sister gave them is up and working.

Cleaning the butcher's block - simple right? Not really, especially when the wheels fall off.

Everything seems to turn into a major deal, so it's all taking a really long time. So Clever Bird decided that Baggy needed to stay over. Calum went off to work. The Goddess has only stopped long enough today for Furry Mama to take Minty Mutt for a walk (narrowly avoiding the hail storm). She decided to concentrate on the kitchen and try to figure out what needed to stay and what needed to go back home. She had no idea there was still so much non-holiday cottage stuff in the cupboards, so the day has been spent emptying, sorting and cleaning. Total chaos ensued:

But at least the pantry-cupboard got painted and organised, as did the drawers:

She also managed to paint the wood that Calum fixed yesterday, in the bathroom behind the loo and sink.

But the truth is that every time The Goddess finishes a job, she notices a new one she needs to do and it's all getting rather overwhelming. But Clever Bird has had a chat with Bit-at-a-time Betty and she's going to write a list for each room and tackle it, one thing at a time............
