Horse therapy.

Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.

Baggy's daily state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Grey.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 8.
Tears: Copious amounts.
Overall day: Struggled.

It was inevitable that Hormonal Hannah's cloud would reappear at some point. It chose today. It's probably partly because Baggy woke up feeling even more poorly than she did yesterday. Clever Bird thinks that she's caught another cold, to add to the lurgy she's still fighting. But whatever the reason, she aches all over and has no energy. It took until gone eleven for Hannah to feel strong enough to get Baggy dressed, and even then it was only because Furry Mama needed to take the pooch out. While she threw his ball, Baggy called her sister for a chat. Freda Fretter has an awful lot on her mind at the moment - mainly the usual stuff: the fact that Baggy earns no money, the fact that the finances don't add up at present because of that, and various emergencies, the fact that their biggest cost is Wesley and Joey and yet they're not finding the time to spend with them, the fact that Baggy keeps getting poorly, the fact that Baggy misses her number one - so all the usual worries. Clever Bird is trying to sort out the biggest one and get Creative Clara to earn some money from her embryo vintage business. But Hormonal Hannah is knocking her confidence about getting on with it and Baggy is so poorly still that she's not really getting much done. But as she chatted to Debby, Hannah got more and more upset and that overwhelming feeling of hopelessness started to take over. She started to blub. Her sister listened and was as supportive as always and Hannah and Freda yacked, while Furry Mama just kept throwing Pepper's ball. It took a while for Furry Mama to realise that she'd over done it, and Pepper had collapsed in a panting heap!

Debby told Baggy about the amazing adventure that Baggy's elder niece is on at the moment! She's on a retreat in the middle of the Thai jungle doing Yoga, kick-boxing, detoxing, and meditation with Buddhist monks for a month. It sounds incredible and Baggy is so proud of Emily for going on such a wonderful break before starting a new job. Hormonal Hannah envies her a bit too, well apart from eating nothing except raw vegetables for five days, it must be wonderful to go back to basics and live in the moment. Baggy experienced something similar when she spent three weeks in Peru. And yet the incredible world that we live in now, means that there is Wifi even in the jungle, so Em can talk to her Mum and send back videos and photos of her days! Clever Bird wonders as well, if it is her niece who's reading this blog from Thailand - if it is, Baggy is very proud of you Em!

Hannah had to get over herself to take Grotty Groom to the yard today, as she needed to leave some money for the farrier. Furry Mama packed Pepper in Billy Bob and headed to the yard. Grotty decided that as she wouldn't be too long, she'd leave Pepper in the camper. No one was around. The Boys were in their stables. Now the nights are cold, they are no longer living out. Grotty grabbed Wesley's grooming kit and a couple of apples and headed in to see them. Wessles was so pleased to see Grotty that he kept head-butting her and blowing up Baggy's nostrils. Baggy started to cry and couldn't stop. She sat on the grooming kit box in the stable, sobbing, loudly. Wesley came over and rested his chin on the top of her head. Grotty started apologising to Wesley. He just stayed with her. Clever Bird couldn't work out who was crying - Hormonal Hannah, Grotty Groom, Freda Fretter, Furry Mama or all of them. Grotty felt awful because she hasn't been spending any time with her horses, but Baggy suddenly realised that she was really crying for Minty Mutt. Being in the stable with Wesley, without Mint just seemed wrong. Clever Bird recognised that Furry Mama hasn't allowed herself to grieve properly for him. She also realised that (despite some of her drastic thoughts from earlier in the day), she could not imagine her life without Wesley in it. He is more than just a horse to Baggy, he is her angel, and even when she hasn't seen him for weeks, he's still delighted to see her.

Wesley went back to his hay, so Grotty grabbed some brushes and set to on her very hairy cob. She lost track of time. Leaning on Wesley's bottom is a favourite past time of Grotty's!

Pauline the yard manager arrived. Baggy started blubbing again (honestly, the woman needs help), so a hot and hairy Baggy went and had a coffee with her. First Furry Mama went and collected Pepper, who had been on his own in Billy Bob for nearly an hour. Freda Fretter had visions of eaten seats, but he was fast asleep! After coffee and a catch-up, Furry Mama took Pepper for a hurtle around the indoor school - the pooch runs like a greyhound. They then went and said their farewells to the horses and Baggy headed home.

She now has an hour or so before Furry Mama needs to take Pepper to his training class. They didn't make it last week because Baggy was so ill. She doesn't really feel up to it today either, but Clever Bird is sure they'll be fine when they get there. What she mustn't do, is let Hannah use Baggy's illness as an excuse not to leave the house. And from now on Grotty is going to try really hard to get Baggy to take her to her Boys regularly..........
