Update on Hinge cat.

Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.

Baggy's daily state! Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Black.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 9.
Tears: Yes, when the vet told Furry Mama that Hinge has jaundice.
Pancakes (Yes/No): Probably later.
Syns (Baggy is allowed 8-15): Okay unless Baggy hits the pancakes.
Weight in her terrifying naked state (Stones and pounds): Not checked.
Overall day:  😿

Baggy overslept and Furry Mama went into a panic when she couldn't find Hinge. She found her  lying on the floor next to the litter tray. Her eyes looked dull and she didn't really want to be stroked. She also wouldn't eat. Furry Mama decided that enough was enough. Time to phone the vet. The only appointment they had left was at 10.30am. Baggy glanced at the clock, it was 10.05am. Fine. Apart from the fact that Baggy had only just got up and was still in her dressing gown. Quick impersonation of Super Man changing. A fight with the re-cluttered garage to get the cat basket. A growl at poor Minty Mutt who knew something was up and kept standing in front of Baggy.

Furry Mama whizzed the basket upstairs and put it on its end outside the bedroom door; Hinge hadn't moved from her position beside the litter tray. Furry Mama picked her up and plopped her into the basket. Furry Mama realised how poorly she must be, because Hinge didn't even put up a fight. The vet was really lovely. Hinge is not in a good way though. She has jaundice (which is a sign of liver failure). She is seriously constipated. The vet pulled some poo out, but there's loads more she can't reach. She's also dehydrated, and has worms!! She has been kept in for the day on a drip. She should be coming home tonight, but might have to go back in tomorrow. Clever Bird feels terrible. Hinge hasn't eaten for at least five days, which is really dangerous for a fat cat. Furry Mama must have been told this last time, but had forgotten. Hormonal Hannah is making her go on a guilt trip and is worried sick about her, but hopefully she has gone in early enough for there to be no liver damage.

Furry Mama will know more later. Meanwhile, Baggy is trying to keep busy.........
