Introductions needed.

Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.

Baggy's daily state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Yellow.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 2.
Tears: No.
Overall day: Wonderful!

Another night for Baggy sleeping on the sitting room floor, so that Furry Mama could stop Pepper from being terrified on his own in the puppy crate. But at least this time she did sleep. As Baggy's sister pointed out yesterday morning, "Urrrrrm Pen, why are you sleeping on the floor?"
"You know why".
"Yes, but why on the floor? Do you not have double mattresses in Billy Bob?"
"Oh yeah," thought Clever Bird.
So last night Baggy was actually quite comfy. At 4.00am Freda Fretter was woken by a wheezing noise; Pepper appeared to be struggling to breathe. Furry Mama tried various things - nothing worked. Eventually he stopped, but as soon as he went back in his crate he started again. Furry Mama let him out again. He stopped. Back in the crate he started again. Hmmm. She gave him a treat. He seemed to stop, but by then Furry Mama felt very sorry for him and rather worried, so Pepper snuggled up on her bed, nose-to-nose with Baggy. They both slept. At about 6.00am, Hormonal Hannah needed the bathroom, Pepper had to go with her. Then she went out with him. The lad will not wee or poo anywhere except in the garden, but at least he now goes on command in the garden (if nowhere else), so hopefully he'll eventually realise it's okay to go when he's out. Back to bed, this time Pepper went back in his crate.

Baggy's sister left for home this morning, so Grotty Groom and Calum decided to take Pepper to meet the horses! He'd obviously never met one before and was very wary of them, but his confidence built!

He even got on with the magnificent Joey.

Pepper was neutered on 22nd September, so has not had a run since before then (at least). Furry Mama was told not to let him off the lead for at least a week a) because he had a huge swelling where he'd reacted to the internal sutures and b) because he has no re-call. But Clever Bird noticed that the more walking that Pepper did, the more the swelling was going down and the antibiotics had clearly helped, so when Calum suggested a bit of fun and training in the indoor school, Clever Bird agreed that it would probably do Pepper good.

He had a whale of a time!

Can you see the German Shepherd in him baggees? He's supposed to be 50% Labrador and 50% collie, but there seems to be lots of other breeds in there too. But he certainly has the intelligence of a collie.

 Shepherd?
 Labrador?
 Shepherd?
Labrador?

Who cares? He's a mongrel and he is absolutely adorable!

 Handsome!
Trusting.

Exhausted!

When they got home, the lad slept like the proverbial log for an hour. Now he is full of beans again!! Well Baggy has the two-stones four-pounds that Hormonal Hannah's comfort-eating has piled back on her due to her anxiety in the last few months, that she needs to lose, so healthy eating and lots of exercise for Furry Mama. Thanks gorgeous Pepper Pooch............
