Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.

Overall day: 😹
Calum was very impressed with The Domestic Goddess's massive efforts in the kitchen when he walked in last night. In fact he was almost speechless! Baggy on the other hand was exhausted from her efforts and had an early night. She woke up at 1.00am when Calum came up to bed and could not get back to sleep. At 3.00am she gave up and let Creative Clara read a book for a while. Around 4.00am she must have nodded back off, only to wake at 5.00am and not be able to get back to sleep. So when Calum got up at 8.00am, Baggy stayed in bed with the cats. Cal reappeared an hour or so later dressed and ready to head out. Baggy rolled over. "Would you like a cup of tea?"
"Yes please", said Baggy while thinking, please just go away so I can sleep. But speaking, indicated that Furry Mama was alive, and therefore fair game. Hinge cat crawled up the bed onto Baggy's chest and commenced her head-butting routine, followed by a gentle claw up the nostril, while purring her little head off. Furry Mama had to smile. Calum came back with tea and toast. As soon as Baggy started eating this proved to Minty Mutt that it was high time Furry Mama got up and gave him his cheese. He started to paw the bed. "Okay, okay, I'm moving".
Baggy decided that she'd rather go with Calum on his chores run, than stay at home alone. He needed to get flea bombs and to go to the stove shop to order a bit for the holiday cottage multi-fuel burner. "Can we take Minty Mutt?"
"Yes, if we go in Billy Bob".
"Lovely".
Furry Mama had decided that as the stove shop is on the way to Sizewell, they could go there afterwards and take Mint for a wander along the beach.
Baggy loves Sizewell. Love or hate the nuclear power stations, the walk past them along the seafront is very pleasant, and it's always beautifully quiet, even on a lovely day. And it was a lovely day (although Creative Clara had to cheat and use a photo from July when they were there, because Furry Mama was so keen to get going that she forgot Clara's camera). But the sky was this blue today, just with a few more clouds, and it was gloriously warm. Unfortunately the café was closed. Not because the season is over, they were on holiday for a couple of weeks. So Calum decided they should go into Leiston for a spot of lunch. Big mistake. Bless it, it's not a very big place, and although there was a nice looking little café, it turned out to be a vegetarian one. It seemed unreasonable to eat somewhere with no meat available. "Why?", you ask baggees. Well because Minty Mutt would have been extremely disappointed.
So on the way back they stopped off at a local pub and had a bite of lunch. Minty Mutt had some beefburger with cheese and bacon topping that Furry Mama saved for him, and a few whitebait that Calum saved for him. Once home The Domestic Goddess decided to use up the last of the peach paint to repaint the wall in their bedroom, that is virtually dripping with damp! The paint had to be finished as the can was so old, that when Baggy stirred the paint in it, it punctured and the paint oozed out! It's been in a carrier bag, oozing quietly ever since. But there was just enough paint to do the damp wall, so The Goddess was pleased with herself once again - the woman's on a roll...........
