Very poorly.
Note to readers (my lovely Baggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.
Baggy's daily state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Yellow.
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 9.
Tears: A few hidden ones.
Overall day(s): 😣
Well baggees it's 6.00am on Sunday morning. Furry Mama has had Baggy up since 3.00am with a very poorly and distressed Minty Mutt, (she'll explain later), so she thought that Creative Clara might as well get a blog in, so here she is!
After Friday's extremely stressful day Calum and Clever Bird decided that perhaps they should try to do something on Saturday. Creative Clara's camera has been playing up a little bit, so Clever Bird suggested that they pootle to Bungay where she thought that there was a camera shop. It was a cool, overcast, drizzly day, so Baggy put a jumper and boots on with the ubiquitous dungarees. As she got Billy Bob organised and waited for Cal, Minty went and marked his spot opposite the house. Furry Mama thought she saw him doing a poo. She went to pick it up. No sign of anything. Odd. But Baggy could smell something. Hmmmm. Furry Mama helped Mint into Billy Bob. This in itself was a little odd, as usually he can hop in on his own. Clever Bird realised that Baggy had something rather smelly and unpleasant on her hand. Furry Mama took Mint back inside and washed his furry bits on his back legs and Baggy's hands, but thought little more of it.
There is no camera shop in Bungay - well done Clever Bird - so they had a little wander instead. Outside one shop were three bin-liners with a sticker on saying, please take these away. Freda Fretter went in the shop to double check that they meant what they said. "Oh yes, please take them". Yay, loads of polystyrene packing beads for Clara's Etsy shop, Realuv. Baggy rather likes Bungay.
She did after all live there for eight years as a teenager and went to the Grammar School there. The shops have changed, but not a lot else has. There are some wonderful shops now, boutiques, dellies, gift shops, art shops etc and lots of good cafés.
By now it was really rather hot. Baggy was regretting her boots, and took off her jumper. Mint needed a drink. Good excuse to go to a dog-friendly café for a cappuccino. Well why not have a sandwich too? And a bit of cake? Well lots of reasons actually, but that didn't stop them. Minty got his water and had a rest.
Clara admired the Butter Cross and remembered her school days. They lost track of time. Calum suddenly announced he was off to pay for another hour car parking. Mint fretted. "He won't be long Minty". Baggy's phone rang. Much ranting and swearing, "Could Baggy please change their order for more coffee and cake to a take away?"
"Not really, it's already on the table. Why?"
"Oh FFS". The phone hung up.
It occurred to Clever Bird that Calum had not taken Billy Bob's keys with him. Apparently he didn't have enough change either. He reappeared a minute later - not looking too happy.
"I'll go", said Baggy before she had to face his wrath. Especially as it had also occurred to Clever Bird that they were likely to get a parking ticket anyway for feeding the meter and getting a second free hour. She moved Billy Bob to another car park. Got another hour free. Went back and calmed Cal down. And reassured Minty Mutt who'd panicked when Furry Mama left. He leapt up, knocking his water over in the process. Bless the lad.
Baggy settled back down to her coffee and cake.
They needed to go food shopping. They also needed to buy a rug to replace the one that the last guest's dog had ruined at the holiday cottage. Baggy wanted to go home to the local supermarket. Calum didn't. So they went to a large town (that shall remain nameless, because it probably wasn't its fault). But as they drove in, (Calum was now driving), Hormonal Hannah began to have an anxiety attack. Too many cars. Too many people. Queues. Irrational, yes. But still real. Baggy started to deep breathe. By the time they parked, all she wanted to do was escape. She carried on deep breathing.
As they headed into the town, and the crowds, Baggy felt quite ill. Mint wasn't happy either. He needed a poo. Liquid left his bottom. All over a paved area full of crowds. Freda Fretter didn't know where to put herself. Furry Mama was really worried about Mint. The rug shop Calum intended going to had closed down. Hannah was getting more panicky. Baggy had a headache. "Could we take Mint to some grass?" They headed off. It was hot. But as they got away from the shops and people Hannah felt miles better. Furry Mama found water for Mint. They went back to Billy Bob and headed out of town. Thank everything!
"Can we go somewhere nice please?" Calum drove them to a beach. Hannah can't remember which one, but Baggy and Mint were just happy to be there. Mint lay in the sea. Baggy sat on the pebbles. Calum found Baggy a lucky stone with a hole in it. Hannah's anxiety levels reduced. Mint seemed a little better. Until they headed back to the van, then more liquid left him. Poor dog. Food shopping done. Home again. Curry for supper. Baggy went to bed at 10.00pm. At 3.00am she woke up to "panting". Mint was on the landing, clearly very stressed. Baggy went into the bathroom. Mint followed and proceeded to be violently sick all over the carpet. Furry Mama cleared it up. Baggy went back to bed. Mint continued to pant. Freda fretted. After half an hour Furry Mama got up again and got Mint water. He wouldn't settle. He went back to the landing. Baggy tried to sleep. Furry Mama heard whimpering. She decided to go downstairs with Mint so that Calum could sleep. Mint wanted to go out so Furry Mama went too - in Baggy's dressing gown and nothing else - fortunately it was very mild. Poor Mint still had a liquid bottom. Eventually he lay down on the patio. Furry Mama sat outside with him and groomed him (in the pitch black) for twenty minutes. There were some very weird noises in the night!! Baggy went in. Mint stayed out.
The Domestic Goddess decided to put a wash on and make Baggy a cup of tea. Then she cleared up after the curry and did the washing up. She would have vacuumed, but it was 5.30am, so instead she set Creative Clara off blogging. Mint is now fast asleep at her feet, running through a park somewhere in his dreams. It is 7.30am. Baggy is exhausted and may risk going back to bed, but as she's had three cups of tea, that might not work.........
