Creative Clara would like to say that Baggy was up with the larks, but that would be a very big fib. But at least she was up reasonably early and Furry Mama was out walking Minty Mutt before 9.00. He fancied a long walk and as he was going to be spending a long time in the car, Furry Mama was happy to oblige. While he collapsed in the garden on their return, Furry Mama sorted Hinge and Bracket, then fed all the featheries. The Domestic Goddess then had to brave the garage; the garage that she'd previously got totally organised. The garage that number one furry had subsequently re-organised to enable the motorbikes to fit in. The garage that now contains said motorbikes, but that is otherwise totally unorganised again. The Goddess needed some of the empty packing crates. After much crashing, banging, swearing and dropping things, she finally managed to detach a few of them from the chaotic pile of stuff. Sigh.
By the time crates, bags, food, camera, laptop and Minty Mutt were packed in the car and Baggy was ready to head off to the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage, it was mid-morning. Grotty Groom stopped by at the yard to do Wesley's stretches. He's already got the hang of them, so today Clever Bird got involved - Wesley did not actually get a parsnip every time he stretched. But he stretched anyway, just in case. Bless the lad. Quick cuddles with both Boys. Parsnips and an apple each and Baggy was on her way.
When she arrived at the soon-to-be-a, she'd forgotten what a mess it was in, despite having moved a load of the "stuff" last weekend.
A few hours of exhausting Baggy later, The Goddess had made major progress.
Of course all the stuff that was upstairs ended up downstairs, so a few more hours on, The Goddess had got it packed up to take home (to cause chaos there!).
Even so, the sitting room is looking quite nice.
Clever Bird is delighted to say that the cottage is now finally (once the crates etc have gone), in a good enough state to get a holiday cottage letting company round for a look. The Goddess is hoping to get a bit more of the painting done tomorrow after Fat Club, but she's getting there.........
