R.I.P. Derek.

Note to readers (my lovely bloggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.

Baggy's daily state!
Depression (Black = really bad/Grey = not great/Blue = okay/Yellow = sunny day): Grey
Anxiety (From 1 = barely any to 10 = gibbering wreck standard): 4
Tears: Lots for beautiful Derek.
Pancakes (Yes/No): Nope, and much as she'd love some, she has no flour.
Weight in her terrifying naked state (Stones and pounds): 12st 6lbs
Overall day:  😕

Furry Mama was so happy last night when she went to bed because Basil, her friends' cat, was home safe and sound. She gave Hinge and Bracket even more cuddles than usual and gave Minty Mutt extra chewies. When she put Derek to bed for the night, she told him that she loved him. She's very glad that she did, because this morning he was dead. No idea why. There was no sign of any attack or anything. Maybe he just gave up. Baggy picked him up and said a few words to him and walked back into the house feeling shocked and numb. She called number one furry. As soon as she told Calum that Derek had died, she unravelled and couldn't stop crying. Clever Bird knows that he was a wild bird, and a baby at that, so the chances of managing to rear him were low, but he's been doing so well for nearly a month now. But clearly it wasn't meant to be. Maybe both he and the other one that died a couple of days ago, had the same thing wrong with them. But Furry Mama will never know why, but she did her best. She decided to make him a special resting place. Minty Mutt who knew something was wrong from the moment that Furry Mama found Derek, did exactly what he'd done when Baggy's father died; he lay by the grave.

Creative Clara did her best to make it a special place for Derek.

She was trying to work out how to make a little cross for him, when Baggy remembered that her Mama's cross off her coffin was in the house - she would have approved.

Clever Bird decided that it would be best to distract Hormonal Hannah. Creative Clara had had her second order of the day from Realuv last night, so she packed up the little art deco vase and decided to post it on her way to the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage. Baggy really didn't want to leave the house (and Derek), but she had to, as her prescription for her happy pills needed picking up from the other end of Suffolk and she had to post the parcel. So Baggy employed her Grrrr! and drove to the soon-to-be-a, stopping at the village before it, to pick up her pills and post her parcel.

Once at the cottage, The Domestic Goddess leapt into action with her paint brush. She set to, repainting the deep red in the kitchen. That done she decided to have a go at the white walls. But there was a problem. She had two cans of old white paint. One was the one that was lumpy as scrambled eggs and she'd given up on last time. The other she found today in the shed. It too was completely separated, so she gave it a good mix. It wasn't lumpy. Marvellous. But when The Goddess started to use it, it dripped everywhere because it was so thin. Clever Bird leapt in. Figuring that there was nothing to lose, she tipped the lumpy paint into the runny paint, and mixed. It worked! Usable paint! Four hours later: all red done; all white done, apart from the ceiling. Next stop, find some more yellow paint. But The Goddess is a step closer to getting the kitchen finished!

Clever Bird realised that it was gone 6.00pm and high time for a cup of tea. She decided to stop for the day and let Clara blog. As she checked her phone, she realised that she had had yet another order from Realuv (that's three in two days!!!!); this one is for the cutest little elephant. But she can't do anything about it until Saturday, as Baggy is off to Fat Club for some encouragement tomorrow, then The Goddess will be doing more painting. Keep busy.........

R.I.P. Derek, Furry Mama loved you.
