Well! Far from being a blue Monday, even though Baggy is missing her number one furry a lot, she's in a really good place. Nearly all the gang have been in action today. Furry Mama did her usual first thing. Then Creative Clara went into town and posted two parcels off for Realuv: one to Bristol and one to New York. From there Baggy took Grotty Groom to go and see the Boys, as she's been missing them terribly. The trouble with being so ridiculously busy trying to get two houses organised is that there hasn't been time to do a lot else. But Grotty was determined to see her two very expensive "pets" today. Not that she's worried about them, they're settled, looking very well and being well looked after, but she needed a cuddle. Grotty spent a merry hour or so grooming small Shetland ponies worth of hair out of each of them! She was going to lunge Wesley, then Freda Fretter decided that she didn't want Wesley to think that Grotty just turned up to make him work! So she just gave him cuddles and minty treats instead. They're going to be turned out for the first time later this week, which they'll love; it'll be a lot easier to start riding them if they can work off a bit of their energy first! Grotty is planning on going again tomorrow with Minty Mutt's "Furminator" comb for a second go at the hairballs.
The weather has been gorgeous in little Suffolk today, a wonderful spring day, blue skies, sunshine and warmth. It was much too nice to be inside.
Gloria Gardener decided to get The Domestic Goddess to help her paint the garden shed a.k.a. number one furry's man-shed. It desperately needed it as it is beginning to rot where brambles, ivy and nettles have been growing up and into it. Gloria and Calum cleared them a while ago, but it's not exactly easy getting round the shed!
Creative Clara decided that a brown shed was a bit boring, so purple berry it was!
Bright huh bloggees? And very runny. Baggy managed to drip it all over the floor just carrying it. And Grotty's expensive boots. Boots changed, she tried again. And started to paint.
Spot the deliberate mistake bloggees. Clever Bird decided that the paint needed to be stirred. Hmmmm!
She started painting again. Baggy decided that it was just as well that number one furry loves pink. Two hours later she'd got quite a bit done, but the shed was slurping the stuff up. Furry Mama suddenly realised that there was no sign of Mint, who had been laying righting next to her. Well he had to be in the garden, so she decided not to worry. Another hour and the temperature dropped, the whole can of paint had gone.
It's not brown anymore! Wait until you see what Creative Clara has in store for it next bloggees - oh yes, boring it won't be!! More purple berry paint will be required tomorrow. Clara was taking photos, when Furry Mama realised that there was still no sign of Mint. She called him. He came. She realised why he was being quiet. Apparently bird feeders full of fat and mealworms are delicious!
Blooming dog, no wonder he gets an upset stomach.
Tomorrow, if the weather is good again, Baggy is hoping to have a deja vu day and do a repeat performance of today; even including Creative Clara posting parcels, as she has just had yet another order from Realuv.............
Oh yes, and this bloggees was the little bit of land Calum and Gloria cleared yesterday:
