Overall day:  😄

Early night last night for Baggy, while number one furry Calum stayed up with Minty Mutt and watched a film. (How? When he started work at 3.00am!!) Baggy, despite being exhausted couldn't get to sleep and was in that half-awake state when she felt one of the cats jump onto the mattress, walk round in a little circle and settle on her legs. All she could hear and feel then was purring. Furry Mama was soothed and comforted and fell asleep. A couple of hours later, inevitably Baggy woke up needing to visit the bathroom. As she woke she thought what an idiot she was: why was she sleeping in the uncomfortable bed, when she could be in the comfortable one? Calum would wonder where she was. She got up, carefully moving her legs so as not to disturb the cat, and walked across the room. If she was in the comfy bed, she would also be next to the bathroom. Baggy giggled at her stupidity. It was only as she reached the tiny landing at the top of the extremely steep stairs that she woke up enough a) not to fall down them, b) to realise that there was only an uncomfortable bed, as she was at the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage and therefore c) that there was no cat there!! Psychic Ploppo had obviously had a visit from the ghost cat. She slept better once number one furry joined her.

When the alarm went off she did not want to get up. But The Domestic Goddess wanted to start her third day of painting. Plan for the day, the master bedroom (with the uncomfortable bed). Well the bed's fine, it's the over-old mattress that isn't! It took over an hour to move all the remaining "stuff" out of the way downstairs. But then the whole day was spent painting and much was achieved. All the walls of the bedroom were painted, three of them in the mega expensive Farrow and Ball "cream" paint, that Creative Clara would call "honey" as it's much more yellowy that the photos show (all honey work was by The Goddess) and one in one of their white paints. The white was also used to do the ceilings of both bedrooms, the kitchen (except the beamed bit) and the bathroom (all white work was done by Calum)! So the only ceilings left to paint are the beamed ones in the sitting room and a bit of the kitchen. The house seemed to love the honey paint. Calum asked The Goddess if she had been dropping splats and streaks on the beams (the cheek of him). But to be fair, Freda Fretter wondered the same thing, only to realise that she hadn't - it was really old paint. Perhaps Psychic Ploppo had something to do with the paint colour choice! Remember when Creative Clara photographed the old white paint in the sitting room and the photograph came out as a honey yellow bloggees? That yellow wall in the photo below, was and still is white!!

Unfortunately The Goddess ran out of day and couldn't reach this last little bit!

Calum rode Hairy Biker Hen's motorbike home, so Baggy drove Brucie Fiat with Minty. She was so tired she wasn't quite sure how she made it, but she did. Hinge and Bracket were delighted that everyone was home (after an initial sulk), Baggy and Minty were particularly glad to be back in their nest. Tomorrow shall be a day of well deserved rest.............
