"No, they'll be in by now," said Grotty.
"They're out. I've just seen them".
He was right - they were. Their first day of being out for more than a couple of hours. Grotty decided to go and see her Boy in the paddock.
He was having a lovely time: sun on his back, munching spring grass, enjoying the fresh air, but the moment he saw Grotty:
It made Baggy's heart swell. She loves that her horse wants to be with Grotty, it makes her feel very special. Wessles head-butted Grotty a couple of times for a pat. Grotty gave him a cuddle and a scratch and let him go back to his munching.
But first Furry Mama decided to see if Hinge and Bracket fancied their first trip outside since they moved in December. She had bought them each a harness so she could show them around. Yeah right! Both cats took one look at the harnesses and took off - another total waste of money. Furry Mama decided to put their little collars on instead. Hinge retired upstairs to bed. Bracket decided to be the explorer. Furry Mama tried to stop Freda Fretter from putting her into a total panic.
Furry Mama and Minty Mutt watched on, nervously, but Bracket was pretty confident!
Once most of the garden had been checked out, a bit of sun-bathing was required.
Then cuddles.
Bracket then decided to go back in. Baggy breathed again. Calum used his toy.
While Gloria Gardener let Baggy get ripped to shreds by brambles. Clever Bird decided she needed a break. And a play with Cal's toy.
She wasn't very good at it, so went back to her brambles as Cal carried on. She lit her incinerator and burnt things. By the time Cal had come to help her burn, the sun was going down! And both Baggy and Calum were exhausted. Hopefully they'll ride tomorrow instead..........
