Note to readers (my lovely bloggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.
A long walk for Minty Mutt with Furry Mama first thing, as Clever Bird realised it would be best if he stayed at home while Creative Clara drove to the auction house today. Not much point in the poor sausage being stuck in the car for over three hours. But also he takes up most of it, and Clara needed to put her purchases in. Unlike her number one furry Calum, Baggy doesn't think that an hour's drive is a "pop up the road". In fact driving ninety minutes to pick up an impromptu auction buy, that they didn't think through, then ninety minutes back again would normally be enough to get Hormonal Hannah in a state. Not today! Despite another bad night's sleep because Cal's cough is still so bad, Baggy woke up happy AND it's a Monday! So happy in fact, that she was halfway there before she remembered that she hadn't taken her happy pill! But Clever Bird decided that Baggy should view the drive as a nice pootle out, with a big surprise parcel waiting at the other end.
It was such a beautiful winter's day, so sunny and lovely, so Baggy enjoyed the scenery as she drove. Quick check on the soon-to-be-a-holiday cottage, then Clara picked her Lots up. When she got home Baggy just wanted to see what exactly Clara had bought, but Furry Mama had mouths to feed, and the oldest puppy in town to play with. Before she knew it, it was 3.30pm; so much for taking Grotty Groom to see the horses. Freda Fretter probably over did the packaging but at least all the glass was back in one piece (well, assuming it was one piece in the first place, which a lot weren't). But it was a "mystery parcel". As Baggy shuffled carefully about in the giant pieces of bubble wrap, the little things that she'd packed with barely a glance came out one,
by one,
by one,
building up
a little menagery
with their own lamp posts.
Then there were the perfume bottles.
All from this!
The Domestic Goddess decided that everything needed washing. As she washed the perfume bottles Baggy realised there was a BIG problem. Now bear in mind bloggees that this (not inexpensive) purchase, is stock for Clara's Etsy shop. So what's the problem?
Well, the perfume bottles are divine!
Baggy is not sure that she'll be able to part with them! Sigh. Someone needs to remind the woman that The Domestic Goddess is trying to de-clutter! But they are gorgeous! Hand-blown, hand-painted, pieces of beauty.........
