Time for The Goddess to pay her way!

Note to readers (my lovely bloggees): For the avoidance of any doubt - every character in this blog is me!!! No Baggy was harmed in its writing.

Creative Clara always jokes that number one furry, Calum, is on his piece of elastic when he's at work. He whizzes up and down the A14 from Sudbury to Birmingham and back. He does go to other places, but for the most part, he could just twang the elastic to get him back the other way! When Baggy calls him in the mornings, she always asks where he is, even though for the most part she doesn't have a clue where he means, when he tells her!

This morning Baggy had set an alarm because her bank was meant to be calling Clever Bird back. She remembered to call Calum on her mobile and leave the landline free. Waste of time that was. Why oh why do companies (who use call centres) allow those staff to promise to call you back? They never seem to! They were meant to call at 10.00am. At 10.30 Baggy gave up and let Furry Mama take Minty Mutt out for a walk. It was a really beautiful day. Hormonal Hannah has been much better today - because the sun was out perhaps, who knows? Who cares? Baggy's just happy she's happy.

Mutt walked, (and covered in mud), The Domestic Goddess decided to get on with house re-claiming. She did a jolly good job. She wasn't too impressed when the mutt decided to lay on the light carpet, but Baggy wasn't much better walking through the house in muddy boots. But at least now when number one furry gets home, he won't be totally stressed out by the mess. So, house much more sorted, The Goddess decided that she needed to get serious about sorting out the holiday cottage. It's wonderful being fortunate enough to own two houses, but at the moment it is a luxury they can't afford, and the old house needs to become a business. But it won't, unless The Goddess makes it! As Hormonal Hannah has had Baggy housebound and feeling overwhelmed by it all, not a lot has been done. Well, that's going to change.

So Baggy packed a few bits for the cottage, a lamp, a few lovely books about East Anglia and nature, some games and packs of cards, a few ornaments. She packed a bag and Clara's laptop. She packed some food for the night. She packed the mutt. Then Baggy set off on her equivalent of Calum's elastic - her own little rubber band that twangs her backwards and forwards between the houses. Grotty Groom insisted that she pop into the yard on the way past, so that she could give the Boys an apple each and a cuddle. Not that they were bothered to see her; a body could be hurt! They changed their minds when they spotted the apples though. Pah!

Once at the cottage, The Goddess set to "dressing" the sitting room. It is beginning to look lovely - very holiday-like, even though Creative Clara says so herself. Even Hormonal Hannah is beginning to fall back in love with the place now that it's de-cluttered and beginning to look lovely. Clara would show you the photos, but although she's taken some, Clever Bird forgot the widgety-bit that allows her to download them. Another time bloggees.

As she's here, tomorrow Baggy will drag her sorry bottom to Fat Club. She really wants to see her friends and she needs the motivation to get back on track again; she hasn't yet lost the ten pounds she put on over Christmas! She was a "target member" for all of three weeks before she blew it. But you can blame that on Hormonal Hannah too, she will insist on Baggy comfort eating.........
